I'm pretty stoked about the possibility to have an IR -> KPA Cab of the following:
4x12 Marshall cab with JBLs
4x12 Marshall cab w/ EV 12M
4x12 Marshall cab w/ Pre-Rolla 20W Greenback speakers
If anyone knows of
goodGREAT IRs of these cabs, please point me in that direction. -
Great idea! Will try it out!
-
How cool is that? Cant wait to try this out Does anyone know if it can it also convert a kemper cab into a standard IR too? Kudos to the Kemper team
-
Damm it doesnt work on windows xp..
-
I have a redwirez-marshallpack somewhere. don't recall what kind of speakers they used. I'll see if I can find'em.
-
Hmm, so that's IR's conquered, wonder what's next.
-
Damm i just bought a Two Notes torpedo to use with all my Redwirez and ownhammer IR's
Ha ha what a waste of GAS
-
Would this capture the room sound of the mic and cab? Like in respect to †he Redwire impulses were they capture different distances and axis of the mics. I am thinking not unless the Kemper got some kind of room simulator post amp.
-
Sorry about being dumb, but can someone please explain to me, what an IR cab is?
-
Thx so much Kemper team

I have the whole redwirez collection somewhere, il check it out.
I'd courios to know if the ambience is saved too. -
Just tried it with Redwires. It just adds some reverb in the reverb slot. Cabmaker seem to just steal the eq curve of the impulse then approximates the ambience.

I'm asking myself:
We know that with the KPA a lot of the profiled amp's DNA is baked into the cab portion of the profile. What flavour will a Redwirez IR bring to the table?
I should try this sometime. I have a bundle of Redwirez somewhere from my Axe days.
The problem is: it's not easy for me to be really bothered as the KPA's cabs sound so damn good.
But thanks to the dev team for the options anyway.

So it tweaks the reverb in order to catch the ir ambience?
Man, if it's so it is just over the top! -

Man, if it's so it is just over the top!THat's what it looks like to me. WHen you load the impulse cab it activates the reverb slot.

works very well
so far only tried 44.1 24 bit redwirez files
have to read the manual
but pretty easy and sounds good
only problem is ....... well there are so many ir files -
manual says 44.1khz 16 or 24 bit
and 1.5 seconds
which is quit a lot
now lets see if I can throw in some far field ir's -

only problem is ....... well there are so many ir filesI will have to compare adding in this in the Kemper then recording the Kemper without cab and adding the Redwire impulse. My first impression is that there is too much ambience and doesn't sound very authentic,
Also, these converted irs have too long of name. When you browse the cabs the ends of the name is truncated and you can't see what exactly the mic position is until you actually load. This is where we need a computer editor.

It would be cool if you could go in reverse as well by being able to make IRs out of Kemper cab profiles.
