Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find an answer.

I have my main output routed to my interface's left input and the direct output routed to my interface's right input so I can record my processed signal and my DI at the same time. The thing is, I don't want to hear my DI while I'm recording. Going into the output volumes menu of the profiler, my "direct volume" is faded out and lowering the volume doesn't change the output volume of the DI at all. Is there a way to still record my DI but not have to hear it? Thanks.

Making this thread because a company finally decided to make a 5u shallow rack and I am finally 100% content with my live/studio rig. If you’re like me, you want to eliminate as many variables as possible and condense your rig to as little as possible. I’m super anal about this lol.

Considering all of the flagship modelers are 3u units, I find it strange that companies don’t offer any odd number rack units more than 3u. I have my unpowered kemper, matrix gt1000fx 1u and furman conditioner. That’s it, all I need. For a long time I had an extra unused space in my rack (and a cavernous backside I needed to dig around in to attach cables) but no longer hahaha. Plus, its designed to look like a real amp head! Rig thread commence now I WANNA SEE THOSE RIGS!

The company is “Pro Speaker Parts” by the way.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I agree this method is a hassle but it seems like the only one that will work for me, for now. I'll just add a bass prefix to the bass rigs so that they are all bundled together. At the same time though, it's odd to me that a "just guitar" filter is not available similar to the "just bass" filter. I just got the Kemper 2 months ago and I LOVE IT but for it to not have a such a simple function is kind of disappointing.

Simple question, hopefully simple answer. When viewing rigs on my Kemper, I have the option for just bass rigs. I would also like to be able to filter it by just guitar because it's kind of annoying sifting through all my bass profiles that are scattered all around. Thanks.

as Nicky said, no need to use your speakers. In fact micing a speaker with two drivers will not behave anything like sticking a mic in front of a single 12” guitar speaker.

I downloaded the free trials of a few Neural plugins to see what all the fuss is about. I can’t say they were anything special for my personal taste but they are certainly good products if ypu like their specific tonal style. In order to test whether they were really “game changing” quality that nothing wlse could match I tried profiling them. Got a perfect match. All ypu need to do is route the output of your interface to the return on the KPA and profile like a Direct Profile i.e. with no mic.

Okay cool, I haven't done this before. My interface has left and right outputs so it doesn't matter really which I use right, just connect one to the front input of the Kemper? And then one output of Kemper to the front of the interface and bam that's it ? Just wanna make sure I'm not screwing anything up haha

Been looking into this as I have some Neural DSP tones I can't live without. So here's my thinking..I have 1 mic placed on the tweeter on the left monitor and a 2nd mic placed on the woofer of the right monitor and then run the profiling process. Is there anything wrong with this idea? Is there something else that would work better? I currently dont have a cab or power source for my Kemper btw (otherwise I'd just do that) Thanks!

Okay, so since the post I have run the outputs direct to my monitors instead of the interface and that works perfectly fine. I didn't change any settings and the focusrite is updated to the newest drivers so that's odd to me. It doesn't say anything next to the OS version but it says the release was 8.0.2.22186 and the build date was Nov 6th

I bought it used and unfortunately I don't have a user manual. I'm able to hear through the headphone output but nothing through any of the outputs on the back. I have the main output connected to input 1 of my focusrite and the input and output lights are blinking on the kemper as well are the green halo on the focusrite indicating a signal. The only thing I hear through my monitors is a buzz.. I have the main output set to Master Mono. I don't really know what to do I've never used a Kemper and it didn't come with any instructions in my case. Can someone please help me confirm this thing didn't get damaged in shipment?
