Gundy Keller is one of the best and the most innovative thinkig demonstrators/guitarists.
I know that He has helped the Roland products with great presentations.
It,s great to have it here, at Kemper!
Congratulations Mr. Kemper!
Yes, indeed!
I've always enjoyed his presentations with Roland immensely!
Hope to see him at the Kemper booth... -
Oh the redundancy...
How many editor/librarian threads are we running here at the moment?
I've lost count... -
Hehe...
I've been using one of these for a long time with my profiler... -

As was already recommended: If you can't get the Ripwerx editor to work properly use the one from lg-fcb.com.

Per Radley's recommendations on another thread, I just ordered an Eminence Swamp Thang to try out in the M III. Always have to be trying something new ...
Well, that's interesting! -
Yes, I would love to do another comparison in the near future (incl. the 212 FR-A).
That should be fun and educating at the same time.
And yes, there's quite a price difference between Mustang and Camper or CLR, so one can expect a little, but certain superiority here... -
Interesting info on the Mustang here. I have a question - how is the KPA connected to the Mustang? Is it via an aux in? How do you bypass the pre-amp?
I see mention of the Mustang IV - I take it the connections are the same?
thanks.KPA monitor out (cab off) into the return of the Mustang. This way you only use the Mustang's poweramp.

Now the fun begins....

The announcement disappeared from his Facebook page. Maybe he needed a little more refinement time....
No, that time is required for proper tagging...

Guys who use DXR,s I,d rneally like to know what style music you play and a short list of your fav profiles.
I play mostly original music in the style of Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, XTC.
My most commonly used profile is the AC20, plus some Kemper AC 30 profiles and some of Andy's commercial stuff. -
I've never played a gig where my amp has been 9ft away from me. I think you should go into the local music shop and try these out see how you feel with them. I think you will be very impressed
+ 1.
Everything else is only theory and doesn't help to make an informed decision. -
Hi Doc, I've seen your vid with the 3 different monitor amplifications and I also prefered the mustang - for me it sounded much better and with a lot more character. Now, as a recent kpa user, I decided I should get one but I see that now there is also good reviews of the yamaha dxr10 that you also use.I don't know if there is anyone else familiar with both solutions or if it is even possible to decide which one is really better. Maybe no one wins but if there is a pros and cons consideration about them I really should like to know about it, to help me make a decision.
Thanks for any input.
JoaoHi Joao!
I still stand by my verdict about the Mustang III.
It's a good- sounding, no- nonsense, affordable, portable amplification solution for the KPA.
It makes a very good backup rig (if ever needed)
I'm more of an open back 1-2x12" player myself.
In this regard the M III supports my speaker preferences.
4x12" guys may find the M III not quite as satisfactory.
To me it's great. And it's less than half the price of a DXR.The DXR 10 is awesome on its own.
Very compact, powerful, light-weight.
It sounds great like a good guitar amp, responsive, not stiff at allThere are some pros that the Yamaha DXR 10 has over the M III however:
- much more fidelity to the chosen cab in the KPA
- much wider sound dispersion (the M III can beam like a guitar amp, because it is one)
- tweaking rigs is easier to translate to PA/FOH.I hope this helps.
In the end it's all about preferences.
I continue to use both devices. -
So you have a direct input on the back of the mustang 3 which acts as a power amp only? and does that signal chain run through any of the amps eq etc
thanks
The Mustang III has send and return which is AFTER its internal amp modelling and after its effects.
So you use the power amp only. -
Doc: for fun we picked a Mustang IV (4x12) from the shop (the rehearsal room is on the back of it and the Keyboard player is the owner) and compared it (cab off) with the 212FR-A (Cab on): 2 Guitar players, the shop owner and a (pro) sound engineer agrees that you should give it a try.
Thank you, Davide...
What do you mean I should try: the 212FR-A or the Mustang IV with 4x12 ?
Could the M keep up a bit?Personally I'm quite fond of the Mustang III as it's a no nonsense, affordable, portable, good sounding amplification solution.
But of course I see the benefits of a real FRFR solution in terms of fidelity for the different cabs.
I was not 100 % convinced of the Non FR- Camper, this might change with the 212FR-A.
The best feeling I got out of FRFR yet is the Yamaha DXR 10 that I used at my recent gig.
It was better than my old Atomic FR (which is sold), better than the Mustang, too.I'm on the list for an Atomic CLR as well because I'm curious if it surpasses the Yamaha.

Thi could be a midi buffer problem with your interface.
Normally the UnO comes with some instructions for troubleshooting problems like these.
I'm not able to look into this right now, hopefully tomorrow, today I'm just too busy. -
Doesn't he use a coin as a pick as well? I think I've heard that somewhere. If he does, that contributes much to the attack he has. It's all part of the equation, it's not only the amp.
No, that's Brian May.

I have a DXR 10 and it sounds and feels absolutely great!
