Very nice blend!
It takes some skill to play like that so you have my respect.

I thought I don't like this kind of music, but I love this track!
Time to reevaluate myself.

As always, a very cool tune.
As always, so rewarding to hear my rigs in other context than my own.

I never know where the idea for a tune will come from. In this case it was from a former school friend who is now an art teacher. She painted a painting saying "keep calm and be groovy". I realized that these words very much described how funk music is when it's at its best. So I just adapted the words for the song title and wrote this. So thanks to Jill St. George for the inspiration.
Guitars used were a James Tyler Classic and a James Tyler Studio Elite.
Bass was a Sire MM V7.
Hope you'll enjoy it!

I definitely get some Beatles vibes from this tune. Well done!

Per is going to Motown!
There's a very infectious groove embedded in here somewhere. Hard to isolate but it instantly connected to my feet.

You are the undisputed master of everything I can't do.

I wanted to play with cross tonalities and sculpting a lo-fi sound just on the tracks rather than anything on the master.

Don't ask me why (as I don't know) but I think this sounds like a soundtrack for a French movie. This is not an insult.

I can't tell you how flattered I am by you guys using my rigs for your music.

Fantastic track, very Beckish in the tone & style. Pretty good harmony with that single bass note , I try to do these single notes lines as much as possible.
Thanks, Renaud!

Definitely one of my fav tracks that you have done, guitar has plenty of vibe and mojo going on
Thank you! It's certainly a new direction for me and I enjoyed doing it so I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it too.

Fun track with a lot of interesting guitar sounds Mats_Nermark got a little surf vibe going on from the lead tone.
Thanks, Per!
It's amazing how different we experience sound. I would never have associated of this lead tone as "surf".

Perfect for Halloween season! Really nice guitar tones on the intro. I don't think the effects are needed. The guitar stands on it's on.
Thanks, Larry!

I was listening to a few guitar clips on YouTube and saw some interesting chord voicings I wanted to get into a tune and then the same evening I was listening to old tunes never finished and found the drums and the bass line in a project from 2020. So I transposed the original tune to fit the new guitar ideas and rerecorded the bass to fit the new chords changes and took it from there.
The guitar was a James Tyler Guitars Studio Elite.
There are just two synth tracks here so many of the "odd" sounds you hear starting at 3:26 are actually guitars heavily treated with FX.
Hope you'll like it!

Man, what a great track!
The arrangement was exceptionally apt for the style.
I hear so much George Harrison and Paul McCartney in the tune and the arrangement and the guitars are just so much George.
And I really do envy you your voice.
This is undoubtedly the song of the month for me. Please post more!

Hey Larry,
Great guitars here!
In the OP you mention a Squier bass, but I can hardly hear it.
