The Pure Booster (by engaging it) or Pedal Booster (using the Wah Pedal) does exactly what you require.
Not really. What he was asking for was a booster 'in the stack section (after amp, selectable amount of dB's) that can be activated with a CC#, to avoid occupying the x-slot just for this simple task'.
I think this would be pretty nice to have. However I also agree with the others that with the possibilities of the performance mode we have a suitable 'workaround'!Cheers,

Excellent! Great guitar playing, great singer and very good recording and mixing!!!

Whoa! Fantastic work, Martin!!! Thanks so much for your efforts!
(And I even found a lovely surprise under 'Enjoy the KPA'. I'm truly flattered. Thanks a lot! ) -
Just a thought: Some cables are noisier than others. Is this also with another cable?
Yes, also tested it with a different cable. -
Well deserved! Congratulations!!
-
Yes, Left TRS, it's on Line position (although this should have no influence at all on the TRS input!?) and yes I also tried the ground/lift switches. All without success unfortunately!
-
No, it has nothing to do with the selected rig at all! I can even turn the monitor volume on the KPA all the way down and it's still there. It's just there as soon as KPA and DXR are connected.
You are right, if I put the DXR volume on around 10 o'clock I can somewhat live with the hiss and it will probably serve my volume needs well for most occasions. Still I think it shouldn't hiss that much when the volume is turned half way up or more. Especially if it's only when the KPA is connected and e.g. playing back music through it is completely hiss free! -
I received my DXR 10 today.
After an initial test I have to say that it truly sounds excellent and can go to insane volume levels!
However I also have to agree that the hiss is there and I tend to find it so loud that it gets annoying. If I turn the DXR half way up it's not acceptable IMO.
I also tried the recommendations given here (TRS, Line, ...) without satisfactory result. HOWEVER, if I unplug the TRS cable from the monitor out of my Kemper the DRX is dead quiet! Also if I use it to amplify other sources (tried it e.g. with my iPod) it has just the slightest hint of hiss which is totally acceptable.
So the problem for me somehow seems to lie in the combination KPA/DXR.
Any idea what I could do to improve this as I really would like to keep the DXR for its great sound?Cheers,

Thanks for sharing! Never seen that guy before. Truly impressive!! !

Ok, found the reason! One CC# sends tuner status off. The Kemper didn't tolerate that for some reason. Since the Kemper now goes into tuner mode on midi volume 0 I don't really need that switch anyway.
That said, I really wish you could delay going into tuner mode by a second or so more! When doing swells it goes in and out of tuner mode like crazy. I'm not sure whether it's due to tuner mode, but the start of the volume curve is very abrupt (I've turned off "Mute Signal" for tuner mode).
Good catch! I am suffering the exact same behavior as described by you and couldn't find out what's wrong. I also do send a tuner status off. So there really seems to be a bug with this specific set up. Thanks!!Cheers,

Yeah, it works again. Thanks guys!!

Guys it feels so good to know that I am not the only one! ;-)) thanks!!
-
well, the funny thing is: i am on chrome, too and it works fine! ?
Geraldo, are you sure you mean the 'mark forum as read' or the 'mark all forums as read'?? The latter one still works perfectly. The other one doesn't work on any browser AFAIK.

No, stuff that's already in won't be re-imported again. -
Yes, also received this mail and what's described in the manual looks very promising!!
However I have a few doubts/questions:
- The secondary function of the rig switches (first press selects the rig, every subsequent press triggers the secondary function) which was offered by the original UNO chip seems to be gone. Correct? I found this very handy for e.g. tap tempo or tuner activation without having to 'sacrifice' one of the top row switches.
- The expression pedals seem to be hard coded to cc's #1 and #7. Correct? So the new cc #4 for pitch pedal is not supported by this UNO chip??
- The volume pedal and wah pedal ranges seem to be hard coded to 0-127 and not configurable anymore? I intensively used that range parameter before in order to define e.g. a rhythm and a solo volume via the volume pedal (by e.g. defining a range from 80-127 instead of 0-127)Anyway I guess I will get the new chip. The great full two way communication just sounds too handy to not have it!!

Hi,
good catch.
Confirmed with Chrome and Safari. We'll take a look.
Thanks Don! Appreciate it! -
Still does not work. Anyone even reading this?
I did also report this here a while back without any reaction!
This forum (the infrastructure, not the content!! ;-)) does unfortunately not at all live up to the top notch product the KPA is! Hope this all will get fixed soon!Cheers,
Markus
