Isn't it always about making money? I don't use commercial profiles because I don't find them any better than the free ones on RE. You don't have to buy them if you don't want to.
Have to disagree with you. The best profiles I have are commercial profiles. Yes there are some good ones in RE but 99% of them are either bad or at best mediocre.

Hey all !
Rig Exchange shows no profiles uploaded since 09 Sept 2023 ... 2 weeks ago ..... something seems wrong about that ?
Ben
So? Shut up n’ play yer guitar.

I thought it puts air in a tire.
Amazing it can do two things. I want one.

In my case, I am talking about a crunch tone that can be cleaned up with less attack but then you have a drop in volume. So, for mixing a tone like this for songs, how would an engineer approach the volume fluctuation when there is clean and crunch parts on one track?
Most ppl are unaware how much they ride the faders in a song. Not just the whole package in the chorus.

Unless you know what you're doing, I'd stay away from compressionBs. How are anyone supposed to learn if not by trial and error? Experiment, experiment and have fun. The safe way, or middle road, leads to nowhere. A dead end. How many things haven't been invented by experiments or mistakes that we take for granted. music or something else?

Maybe I am chauvinistic but I just can't get into Girl metal. It just doesn't go. I don't care much for girls shredding on guitar either. But there are voices that I love like; Ann Wilson, Pat Benatar, Patty Smyth, Whitney, Tina Turner, etc.
I don't care much for female drag racers too but I did date one and my wife reminds me of it.
The only female fronted bands I like are Nightwish and Within Temptation. I don't see anything wrong with girl metal. Girls shredding on guitars on youtube are for young and old men who don't get laid though. Different with someone like Nita Strauss who is really talented. So how long time did it take you to realise it was a man?
I had a friend and his big brothers friend when he was really drunked deep kissed one on the dance floor. They tried to warn him but he refused to listen and found out with the pants down.

I was gonna heart this but couldn't bring myself to use it...sorry
I could. Just to to annoy BayouTexan.
-But I agree though. Hearts are too cheesy.

Or…You could actually BUY the song and support the artist.
Or you could accept others choices.

I have the Kemper as the only USB device on my computer and have set up the audio (Windows 11). I can hear audio from my computer but cannot get audio into the computer from the Kemper. I have tried using Cubase 12 Pro which I am very familiar with and have setup many interfaces with it. I also tried using Abelton Live 11 with the same result.
Anyone else have this issue?
Did you download asio4all? Kemper doesn't have any asio.Yet.

But then I think Yngwie has feel, so what do I know
Can anyone play without feel? Of course not.

Depends what you mean by better.
I agree Jazz is the ultimate in terms of improv, neck knowledge and technique but those are not the only things...for me ( and I can only talk about me) it leaves me cold because there is no clear "story", just sounds like lots of random notes.
You're not alone.

How many pedals do you know from the 60s and 70s?
I mean OD and Dist-pedals?
And in the '80s which pedal was the "choice of the guitar heroes"???
Don't like to argue with you. Just curious.
Dalls Rangemaster was used by many well known guitarists. Didn't many guitarists used rack effects with built in OD's in the 80's?

I find it extremely ironic that your signature line says "Think for yourself, or others will think for you wihout thinking of you
Henry David Thoreau" and you seem very insistent on pushing your views to others. Thanks for the laugh...
That's your opinion and not mine. I don't tell anyone what to think and if you can't see the difference....

Fine. Ignore the awards and assume it's all garbage. A convenient dodge, but fine.
Taylor Swift has been getting paid for her songwriting since she was *14*. Every song in her catalog is hers or co-written with her....and people listen to and buy them consistently. Fans pay extortionate amounts to see her live, which is something she has railed against time and again.
H.E.R. has been a professional performer since the age of 10, writes her own songs, plays 5 instruments and earned platinum, gold and silver records. At 26.
Like them, don't like them. It doesn't matter. Suggesting these artists are somehow worthless because you aren't aware of them, they dress funny, operate in an exploitative industry or don't conform to the 'correct' way to go about it is crap. It's music and it makes (other) people happy. Why hate on it?
Yes all awards are garbage. I don't care if a band have sold millions of records or if I'm the only fan. Music is an art. Period. I wouldn't watch a award even if all my fav bands would be nominated and won. I couldn't care less and all the silly thanks for the prize and and thank you....and thank you...and....yawn.... zzzzzzzz
Why do you take it as an personal attack on your musical taste? You can like her and taylor how much you want. No one have said anything else.

I reject the whole "huge machine planning everything in the background". The music industry was and always is a business, not a charity. No one pretends otherwise. It doesn't exist to promote music, it exists to make money - and in fact so do many artists. The basis behind any company.
Sure. But in the past they could be patient and let bands grow slowly and some of them made it and a very few made it really big. Music business became only about the money and nothing else. So they killed the business themself. I remember when Neil Young got fired from Geffen records late 80s I believe. The reason? He didn't make enough commercial hit songs. He replied I have never written a commercial hit song. With a business only concerned about the money no one is willing to take risk. They want the new new kids on the block, the new nirvana, new....fill in. We see the same in the movie world. Take a risk a make something new? Nah lets do a remake instead. So the question is how many of todays hit songs will be remembered 50 years from now? How many of of them will be remembered 10 years from now? Or even 1-5 years from now?
