Gone thru them now. Not so much difference between them but that's okey. Anyway you have done a good job and they do sound good and I will keep them.

One more trick is to mix bass at high monitor volume. Tune the rest at mid volume and fine tune at very low volume
Bad advice. If you want to fool your ears, go ahead.

Thought this would be of use to anyone looking for good deals. I saw two today:
1) Steinberg: They've got 40% off on Cubase and upgrades. Plus, if you buy Cubase Artist, you get upgraded to Pro.
2) Sonarworks: They've got a 30% off sale on their room treatment software. I can highly recommend this software if you struggle with a sub-par room.
Anyone else have any leads?
Bought the upgrade today and now I have to wait until nov-dec before I will activate C11 and get 11.5.

So I had some free time and was just experimenting with... chainsaw tones. I really didn't have a frame of reference other than some YouTube videos I listened to.
Here's the recording. Warning, it is very loud, so lower your speaker volume/headphone volume.

They didn't play together very well when I panned them left and right and played some Grave riff, but that was expected.
Do note, I am currently at a location where I don't have access to a proper DAW and the net connection is very poor, so I haven't had a chance to download Cubase yet. This was made with GarageBand. So basically, zero EQing or tweaking.
DAW doesn't matter.

One of the most common mistakes, Oh have I been guilty of it too, is bass on the bass guitar. If you have ever have or heard raw bass tracks or, DI or both, from mixes made by pro's, there's no bass. Bass on bass guitar is something you build up in the mix. Make sure everything sounds seperate as possible before you even thinking of mixing and even before you start mixing, have a vision of what you would like it sound when finished. Don't just mix and believe it will work out. That profile(s)you love might be wrong for this project. If they clash with vocal e.g. change to other profile(s). The number one wrong all have done is take all the sound they like on all instruments and think it will be fixed in the mix and then wonder why it doesn't as good as they hoped. And ride the faders alot too.
Ik Mulitmedia has a cheaper thing called ARC https://www.ikmultimedia.com/p…V=Other%20Filter&PSEL=arc

It depends on what guitar/pickups you use. String gauge and tuning. How much bass is on the profile(s).

Ty for introducing me to STL
i've tried about 8 different vendors for kemper profiles and so far i like them the best.
they worked very well for someone that's very unskilled in dialing stuff in. out of the box they just worked for me.
i picked up the mark lewis pack and can't see my playing much else after buying that.
Get the Mesa pack too if you haven't already done it. Cuts thru any mix.

I'm saying that it maybe potentially could be possible or possible to get close and that people should try it and several other things before saying it can't be done any other way. Obvioulsy, your tone may vary.
Well go ahead and give us proof or don't say anything.
-
Yes. Anybody that claim something should back it up with proof or shut their mouth.
-
Oh you're the man I've been looking for!!
Possible to share your settings so I can have a starting off point?
How would you change your settings to get it closer to the settings Marty uses for the af9?
Why don't you try for yourself and experiment. You might find other settings you like too.

Thanks for your help people. I’ve sorted it. Only took my 4/5 days haha. Such a relief. God knows what I’ve done but it works and I’ve tried it a few times and I can do it now. Thanks a lot
Maybe you should tell us what you did wrong and how you fixed it cause someone else might come here on the forum and have the same problem.

Why
Acually, a double recto amp profile with scooped treble plus kemper overdrive with the tone up and some tweaking should get you there pretty fast, the trick is in the crushing treble, which the double recto has tons of it.
Okey give us a clip of it as proof.
-
I support this 100 percent.
Try it before you deny it
Support to 100% whithout even tried? Up to proof.

choptones have profiles of this amp.
