Trying to decide whether to budget for dedicated wah pedal - or use expression pedal to control the wah in the Kemper. Any suggestion from users - is the Kemper wah good, great or ok? Its important to me to have a quality wah sound like the Mission Wah, or Dunlop, etc. But if you can already get this quality from KPA i prefer to save $ and board real estate. thoughts?
Personally i think the wah is great. save ya cash

Yep it's great to have some future insight about when its coming. Good of CK to let us know, this means I've got longer to save

Unless it ends up having some incredibly unique features, I'm no longer interested in a FC from Kemper. The FCB1010 gives me all I need. When I upgrade my floor controller, I will likely be going the FAMC Liquid Foot route.
Will, do you not get any lag with your KPA and FCB1010
-
Dam!!!!! that means ive still got to use my FCB1010 with horrible lag for a long lime yet
But at least CK chimed in so we know not to get our hope up for it being released soon.

2 more gigs this weekend with 2 DXR10's now God these things sound good and they are very loud. My band members are very impressed and the sound on stage now is the best we have ever had. I can't recommend these enough. Plus you get a 7 year warranty !!!!!!! For the price the quality is outstanding. Check these out fellow KPA users

I'm hoping for the pedal and performance mode
-
I've listened and they sound great, by the way i'm stil sceptical about the kemper, it seems to be great but i have to try it under my fingers..
trust me you will be blown away by it i still am and ive had mine nearly a month!!!!!!!!!!

I would go on The Amp Factory website you can listen to all of And44's profiles see which one you like and buy them or buy a bundle which works out cheaper in the long run. All his profiles are incredible and I highly recommend them. I purchased bundle 2 when i brought my KPA and I'm going to invest in another one very shortly
-
No pedal then
-
this! -great advise
+2 on this
I had 800+ profiles after 3 weeks of owning mine and it really did distract me from learning the KPA and playing. I decided to favourtie all the ones i liked and deleted the rest so im now down to 250 and im starting to understand my KPA better instaed of messing with all the profiles
-
there were about 5 or 6 i considered using from And44 free bass pack. The one i did use in the end was the ampeg SVT15 clean profile. It sounded so punchy but with great definition!!!

All went great last night. My clients were very impressed with the KPA infact they were blown away by it. Coming from a line 6 pod farm background i found the sounds i used needed less tweaking to allow them to sit in the mix better plus they sound very real. Cant wait for the next session next week.
Oh i also used the bass profiles and these to sounded incredible!!!! best piece of musical equipment ive ever purchased (except for my 3 PRS's lol)
-
+1 on that ^^^
-
i had 836 profiles on my KPA spent all last night going through them and deleteing the ones i didnt like. Now im down to 256. This is alot better for me and makes me play guitar more instead of looking for the right sound, messing with settings etc i wouldnt want to go through 2600 profiles it would drive me insane!!!!!

Ok, been messing around with my kemper for about 3 weeks now and tonight is the first night ill be using it in my studio for a session. For guitars i normally record guitars twice, one panned left, one panned right, then in the choruses i do it 4 times. im thinking of recording analog in to Protools as well as spdif, so i could reamp the spdif track with a different amp later allowing me to have 2 tracks each side same take but 2 different amps (making the guitar sound bigger).
Is this a good idea, as it will save time. I know spdif is only 44.1 from the KPA which is fine as i do all my sessions at this sample rate.
Do i need to set anything up for the spdif to send a dry signal into pro tools allowing for reamping later or just plugin and go

I'm using 2 yamaha DXR10's excellent quality, great price, very loud and 7 year warrenty!!!!!!!

Press and hold the Output button, then scroll to the Monitor EQ selection. There is separate EQ that doesn't affect the Main output that goes to FOH.
Thank you I'm still getting used to where everything is so many things you can do with this beast:)
-
Awesome! Anything you have to do EQ wise with them? How is the high end on them?
Top end is crystal clear haven't done anything EQ wise, that's probably because I'm not to sure how you go about being able to change the monitor only EQ on the kemper without adjusting the front of house EQ

At the mo I'm standing the KPA on the PA to the side of me, I'm planning on getting a friend of mine to make me stand to hang of the PA to hold it. As for 2 DXR10's I'm going to try both ways of setting them up see which way suits me best, but I think ill end up with them infront of me
