Ready for summer,,
What are your expieriences with the Epi-Hollowbody? -
@db9091
I'd never played a Thorn. But what I see ist mostly nice. With the color I'm agree with you. Let us hear recordings next.
My only problem with the Thorn is this weird star or flower on the fretboard. That looks in a way like the painting on pencilcases of schoolgirls in my youth. But this is only my personal impression.
Every other parts looking very great and show good craftsmanship. Especialy the backside looks great in quality of processing!
Am I allowed to ask you for your price? -
Is the Friedman ASM-12 an FRFR solution?
-
I really miss my second guitar, an Epiphone Spotlight (PRS lawsuit).
The drive-sound is very convincing and is also accentuated in the different strings! Even with the limited recording microphone and combos. -
The lead-guitar tone is awesome and fits very nice to the other guitar and fits very well in the free frequencies, too!
Like it! But to short. -
@Sharry
Ha! I was not sure whether Framus or Höfner. Because of the headstock I guess to Framus.
Did you ever looked for what collectors offer for this guitar? This guitar could have a certain value...
Yes the plug connector are often a problem in these olf guitars.
I would like to give you a hint:
Preserve the old components well. For collectors and the worth it's very important. -
@Sharry
Wonderfull! Is this a Framus? -
-
My oldest guitar which I own, I bought round about 1981.
Its a MiJ-Guitar of the great times. The special:
It is not only produced by the best firm at that time Terada like Tokai, Burny, Greco, Navigator... it is even a Terada as brand!It is a Terada Django. With the legendary Barcus Berry. It is a Jazz / Lead / Gypsy-Guitar.
It is almost exclusively to be used as lead-guitar. To grab chords is hardly possible on the round fretboard. Instead it is insanely fast (Django of course).
One of the first acoustic guitars - after Ovation - which were equipped with a fixed pickup. -
Show us here your first or oldest guitar that it is in your possession and you sometime still use!
I could imagine that we will see some awesome results. -
@schneidas
Uaaaah... finest! -
I like the fat tone on the lead.
Me too... -
My latest Warmoth/USACG project:
1-piece Korina Tele, dual humbucking with 1-piece full Madagascar RW neck
Looks absolut nice!
Are these PUs S.Duncan Zebras? -
@viabcroce
Ciao Gianfranco,
thank you for your helpfull tips and informations. I think you're right. In fact, the Boss Micro-BR was a subject for me, too.
But in the last 10 years I concentrate my decisions more in more in the direction to the main function of my gear-parts. In the way: less is more.
I finally came to the conclusion that I do not need the drums of the Boss-Solution. Then I will take EZ-Drummer or other solutions. Very convincing I found in Roland that in its recording function that is easy and fast, and to have an intelligent modulation. Even to handle at very high volumes. I finally found the microphones for this little money as absolutely outstanding. Another argument for me was the steel case. That makes a robust impression to me.
In fact, the Roland seems to have weaknesses in data transfer and in the conversion. However, the above mentioned functions seemed for me more important. At last was it a strong argument to combine it with a video-camera...
Best regards to Roma. Relatives of mine came 100 years ago from the border of the Emilia Romagna to Toscana. -
Is there somebody who has experiences with this little machine:

I want to use it for tiny musical-memos by parts, phrases and ideas at live-operations.
What do you think about it? -
People stay ethical!
All those bad guys here... -
Not very impressed with him or his thoughts, for one. Maybe his next video will be "Cover bands- is it ethical? Food for thought".
Yes and broadcasting steals the sound of a Gibson Les Paul, too. Ethic! -
He is not impressed. Ok. He show his point of view.
If he is not impessed I ask myself why he talks about 30 minutes.
I could imagine that he is more impressed as he says.
The apparent argument Christoph Kemper is a keyboarder, is so poor and so human wretched that I don't know if I should cry about this poorness or laugh about his cluelessness to this theme.In my opinion this discussions about theft of engineering ideas, sounds, technology and so on, is dominated only from this:
Ignorance towards the product and ignorance of the playing guitarist and artist.To the product:
Do I profile a sound of an amp then I profile one of thousands different options offered by the amp. One!
This sound is a result of an creative act of the using artist. This creative act is willed by the engineers of this amp. That's the reason why the amp has so many knops and potis for creativity!
The Kemper-Profiler gives the guitarist the possibillity to store and save his(!) own(!) one(!) sound. Thats all in techincal questions!
A painter makes fotographs of his own pictures for saving and dokumentation. Nobody gets the idea to tell us that Nikon steal the picture of the painter or the material from manufacturer of the canvas!
That would be totally ridiculous! Here, however, he try it cause he isn't technologically versed.To the artist / guitarist:
There I get high blood pressure! This parvenu wants to reduce and deny my personal creative work and personel performance on a personal unique sound that only I own to a pure engineer performance?!
Could it be more arrogant?
I would like to throw its inferior stomps in the background to his hollow head. That could help him to take a clear logical thinking!Ethically? Here are facts twisted and creative achievements unchecked denied and ignored.
Such gossips are my best friends. In main things to make a video and to talk there shrewed without thinking.
In Germany, we name these people Muckerpolizei. Means approximately musican-police. They standing in the first row keep an eye on and and tell afterwards which was not good. Themselves can be seen of course rarely on stage. And why... -
Yeah, no problem. If my memory serves me correctly, I think I paid £1300 about a year ago. I bought it off a shop that had done a deal with the main UK Tokai dealer. It had only ever been taken around various exhibitions and had never been played 'til I bought it. That's the beauty of it being left-handed I guess. There are very few people will be tempted to try and play it. There was zero fret wear, and all metal work was brand new looking. It had picked up a couple of minor bruises over the years, but it is pretty much mint.
Oh yes, this is a very good price!
