I use a tablet on my mic stand that sends midi to the Kemper.
The rig chosen per song will have gainier or less gainier rigs left or right on the remote.
Don't need to read the displays so much at all.
-
The address of the Slot currently loaded is displayed in the dark box on the left hand side, but only while no Remote is connected.
This I did not know, thank you sir!

Cancel the good news. After working on modifying some performances the crash has happened yet again. It is making dragging and dropping into a performance almost impossible and if it doesn't crash it does not always save. I have spoken to support and it is a known issue, which is a relief as I now know that it is not just me.
Are you crashing when the profiler is in performance mode? Have you tried doing it in Browse mode?
-
I believe there are people using a PC or Mac with a DAW to send midi using tracks.
I use an Android tablet and a bluetooth midi adapter to change performance/slots per song.
-
Not sure, but you could delete the modified one and load the original again.

Connections for PROFILING a Computer-Based Guitar Amp Simulation • Connect your guitar to the Input of the PROFILER. • Connect the DIRECT OUTPUT or SEND 1 from the PROFILER to the appropriate input on your computer’s audio interface. • Route the output of your guitar amp simulation software to a specific hardware output of your computer’s audio interface. • Connect this output to the RETURN or RETURN 1 of the PROFILER.
✓ Be sure to disengage the noise-gate in your guitar amp simulation software before PROFILING it.

Hey Beta Portal, I sent you a bad picture ... here you go.
when I navigate ( on the Kemper ) to the performance that crashed RM, my toaster crashes ... all others work fine.
Need to delete new performance without RM or loading it.
If you put the Toaster in Browse mode, you should be able to drop a new performance onto the corrupted one using RM. That's what fixed it for me.
Then I re-created what was once there.
-
Thks Ruefus, that is an option but being that I am not in the market for a new PC anytime soon, it seems that if I downgrade any future upgrades to the profiler will not be available to me if I wish to use the normal RM.
Yup... you need to have an earlier version of OS on your Kemper to run RM 2.x

If you have beta OS on Stage 7.1.7 then you need RM beta 3.0.79
-
I updated RM to newest 3.0.79 on Windows 10 and for first few (~5) seconds the app is not responding (brak odpowiedzi = not responding on below screenshot). After that it refreshes the screen and it's then functional. Anybody has this issue? It was there also on RM 3.0.78
I think it's still syncing performances
-
Damn, still can't save performances to the Stage with .79.
Guess we'll have to wait for another update.
Same here
-
I'd open a ticket with Kemper first, just to get any more test ideas taken care of.

And you have insulted the IBM PC-JX crowd!
Now I'm an intolerable Timex Sinclair user!

I don't know if its just a Mac thing but when in Performance mode the Orange store buttons offer "Store Performance In Local Library" (works as expected) or "Store Performance #1" (just stores the performance in the current slot on the Profiler). Seems to be wrongly labelled, although and option to save directly to in performance location #x instead of current then dragging and dropping would be great.
Same on Windows. If you tweak an effect or something on a rig, the Store Performance seems to update to the correct number, but does not save to the profiler.
-
Maybe this is something for you:
Yup... I use a relatively inexpensive Android tablet running Bandhelper. I bought a Yamaha MD BT 01 bluetooth Midi adapter.
Tablet sends Midi commands embedded in the songs in Bandhelper, and the Kemper switches to whatever Performance slot you designate.
As long as the tablet and Kemper are within bluetooth range you're good to go.

See, now THIS is exactly why I refuse to move off of my Commodore 64! If God meant for me to have more than 64KB of RAM, He wouldn't have blessed me with this amazing bastion of science! POKE(55296, 5)!
Regs,
Jeffro... showing his age
Us VIC-20 users are insulted!

My personal opinion is that there's a snowball chance in Heck.
It's not going to happen.
I get it... I understand... but no.
