Have you checked out my SRV style rig on rig exchange? I created it profiling a 68 Fender Vibrolux reissue amp. I'll attach it here. It might work for you. Hmmmm...won't upload. Try searching rig exchange under name Vinsanity. rig is VG-FENvibSRVdrive
I’m using both. I usually pull one ear out. Best of both worlds. Hear and feel the cab and the IEM allows me to have a perfect mix no matter where I am on stage. I tend to wander around a lot when we play.
The MBritt PowerTrain Stage 50 does not hav FRFR speaker, so, how well it translates extremely different amps without coloring the sound?
For example, how accurate it delivers Fender Amp profiles through 2x12 cabinet, vs. a Mesa profile with 4x14 mesa cab. or a Marshall JCM?
I appreciate all the reply’s but I’m still looking. I’ve tried the RM but came up empty. Does anyone know of a website the perhaps sells profiles?
In RigManager try searching different keywords like: satriani, satch, alien, surf, JVM, JSX, Peavey, etc. or name of the songs there are some rigs there, at least my search finds some.
Google usually works most of the time for this. Try searching keywords like: "satriani kemper profile" or any other tone you are looking for. Google brings you the following types of content:
1: Videos: YouTube videos showing the tone with Kemper. In the description or comments, usually the user shares the profile names, settings or tips.

2. Kemper forum threads related to that keyword. Many skilled KP users here. Of course you can use the KP forum search as well.
Okay, that makes sense! But why does the sound example of the profile sound much better than the profile when I play it with my kemper. I mean both sounds come out of the monitors so there shouldnt be a difference, right?
In your first post you compared the cab in the room sound vs the mic’ed cab.
What you mean by the sound example of the profile? What are you comparing now?
4. Check out commercial profilers website and video demos like Tone Junkies Plexi profiles, MBritt, Top Jimi, TheAmpFactory among many others that have artist based samples or profiles.
If anyone wants/needs to mount an etherCON connector in a pedalboard, you can use a Neutrik NE8FDP (see previous post) and an Ethernet Cat5e cable. No need to use a PoE injector or switch, in this case.
Profiler Remote-->ethernet Cat5e cable --> Neutrik NE8FDP RJ45 jack --> Profiler Remote’s cable with etherCON connector—>KPA.
It works seamlessly, and the remote is fully protected.
If Kemper teamed up with Celestion to deliver an actual Speaker, I am sure he saw all the value needed to invest efforts in that product, instead of going the IEM route.
By the way, some IEM users enjoy feedback experiences without speakers, though. They use a Digitech freqout pedal.
Exactly, you need speakers powerful enough to provide feedback. CK keeps going in the interview as if in-ears or anything you can hear is adequate.
Keep watching the video. At some point of the interview he acknowledged that a guitar speaker experience is still a challenge for digital amps, specially for players not used to mic’ed amps sounds. In fact, he said that IEMs have the same issue with analog amps for some players that miss their guitar cabs. Hence, his approach to mitigate that is the Power Amp option and his new Kones speakers, to be released some day.
I’ve enjoyed this interview. Kemper tackled, in an honest fashion, controversial questions like amp in the room problem, profiling ethics, company growth to fulfill the demand, why KPA is still using same hardware, etc. Really clever decisions.
He mentioned that he has no fear to grow his R&D team, now. I hope that means, speeding up development of features in the roadmap like editor, drives, and other free software improvements that may or may not translate in new revenue streams or new sales. That’s a concern.
