And so the 'relic' Kemper movement starts. (joke)
It could be natural aging of the plastics due to UV - or if those keys are used alot more than others, could it be a build up of oils from your finger tips

C’maaaaaauuuuuughn!!! Nobody’s caught those killer disk brake guitar stands?!? 👍
They're the front discs from my Merc CLS and leftover IKEA Ivar offcuts from my rack. They're soooooooooooo heavy.
I am such a cheapskate !
I sold the Kemper so I won't be making new profiles.
This is a loss to the world of Kemper profiling
Your profiles are great.
Yep.
Inside alot of gainy tones are some fantastic cleans that respond beautifully to you 'digging in'.
I do like a happy ending.
Sweet.
A Marshall from Mr Burns ? I'm in.
Has anyone pointed out that it should have a big "2" on it yet ?
Definitely a feature K2 should have.
The LA 80s Rack (apologies if I've gotten the name wrong) is superb.
But my fave is Heavy Chicken. Great name. Great profile. Such a great range of sounds just from playing changing playing dynamics.
Do they mean getting the Kemper to do the amp sounds to free up DSP capacity in the HX stomp?
So many cutting comments I could make....but I do like the Helix stuff so won't stoop that low
Personally I think its not a great rig. Helix and Kemper can easily operate independently, the differences are marginal that its not worth lugging 6u's worth of gear around.
Yes. Using the Kemper for amps / FX and the Stomp in a loop for FX. Adding the DSP of the Stomp to the Kemper.
I was looking at the HX StompXl the Line 6 website......out of curioscity. Noticed an interesting graphic in the picture (below) depicting potential /suggested uses for the HX Stomp.... particularly the 'DSP Expansion' role.. which seemed to show the Stomp as an adjunct to the .... Kemper.*.......... (bottom left)
* Full disclosure, IMHO, having a Kemper coupled to a L6 Stomp/HXFX, or Helix is a GREAT rig - Epic amps and FX in 6u rack spaces.
The news cabs are better than the old cabs. The ability to move the mic around (like an IR pack) so its good for tone shaping.
The update also lowering the processor load from cabs and IRs reduces the 'awwww man I've run out of DSP !!' when you choose some demanding models. The polyphonic pitch still hoses the DSP .
The Helix is still a GREAT midi controller for the Kemper !!
You can develop it into a technique to make insane sounds.
Its one of the few things I remember from Physics lessons.
I've heard/seen your video on FB.
Its a phenomenon called 'beats'. A loud often pulsing sound due to the interference of 2 notes at slightly different frequencies. Its happening when you fret 2 similar notes as the intonation of guitars isn't perfect. The frequency of the sound is a function of how close the 2 original notes are. As stated above - its nothing to do with the Kemper.
Just to add. You can plug a usb keyboard into the front usb socket and use that to type new names for profiles.
......Unless you like the whole 'safe cracker' style name entry.
Mr Burns makes good profiles. Fact.
But the expression pedal is controlling parameters in the rig itself not the signal after the SPDIF output. The output should simply reflect the digital signal being sent.
you're right - i was only half awake reading the post.
Short answer - no
Long answer - noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The SPDIF is digital data audio. Putting a variable resistor (your Exp pedal) wont change the information. !
Those profiles are badass !!!
