Did you check Main Manual 8.5, chapter Output Section, page 123? You have to set mix controls according to your needs.
I’ve noticed that if I’m on a preset and I press the same preset’s button again it will toggle the led next to it. There’s a top and bottom led. What is the purpose of that?
Tia
I recommend you to download Main Manual 8.5 and check it 1st. Regarding your question you can start at the bottom of page 56 (Stage) or page 287 (Remote).
Re your 1st question - see Main Manual 8.5, chapter "Technical Specifications", pages 354 -359. You can download Main Manual from the Kemper web.
....
I will try it again tonight. Perhaps this is the problem "Effect Loop active".
The sound from my computer comes through external speaker and headphone just fine until I plug in my guitar to the Front Input. Then, it dies. Does this mean I can only "jam along" with a clean dry signal coming from my guitar?
What gear do you have in effect loop? Couldn't you just use "onboard" efects and disconnect the loop? There is quite wide onboard effects offering. I own Stage, so I do not have this limitation.
Great questions again and thank you! Windows 11. Kemper 8.6.6.32765. Last working version? HellifIknow.the one 2 months+- ago. Rig manager quit connecting to the profiler.
And Rig Manager version??
This request has been discussed several times here. So we just have to wait if it will be implemented or not.
Display MoreAs I suspected, I can not run line level input and guitar to the same cabinet or headphone output. No matter what is selected in the Input Menu (in this case Aux In), the Front Input on the head will take priority and cancel the Aux In signal.
This is clearly explained in another video tutorial here: "The Front Input will always get priority"
Kemper Profiler Tutorial - Input Section
The Tutorial I listed earlier in this thread on Aux Inputs and the one listed in this post seem to be contradictory.
So how is it that one can "jam along with an MP3 recording" or anything else when the Front Input kills the Aux In signal????
No, the front input does not kill the Aux signal. "The Front Input will always get priority" mean only priority of front input over alternative input. It has nothing to do with Aux input! I am pretty sure that you have to check your Aux settings in Output menu. Again read page 123 carefully.
As Wheresthedug wrote, read pages 123 and 124 in the Main Manual 8.5 and follow the instructions. I am using this scenario almost every day and it works flawlessly.
I found this video tutorial in on the web site. Don't know if it is new or I just missed it but, it is all about Aux Inputs.
Yes, this video is valid and it describes what we already talked. It is really important for you to spend some time and read cearfully Main Manual 8.5! In fact, there you can find almost everything.

.......
Now, I wonder if the input from the computer can be heard as well as the guitar input? I mean, at the same time.?
Yes, just read in the Main Manual 8.5 how to connect everything together ... see page 42.
Not sure what you mean with "such and animal" but if you mean the cable than you can see one example here:
Main Manual 8.5, page 64 - Basic Setup, Aux In feature.
It will somehow work but the result is very questionable . The imprint techology won't work for sure, because important part of it is located in Profiler OS.
There is no such thing as an "empty Slot" at any time. All 125 Performance are prefilled with the default Rig "Crunch". By default SlLots 2-5 are disabled (but filled!). Slot 1 cannot be disabled. As soon as you select a Rig into a disabled Slot, the Slot gets enabled automatically.
You do not have to fill Slots in any particular order.
I know that there is no "empty" slot. It was just my wrong wording But I really thought that you have to fill slot 1 first. Thanks for the clarification.
Not sure if I see it correctly, but I think you are trying to copy rig into slot 2 of the performance while slot 1 is probably empty. You have to start with slot 1.
To load a rig into a slot you either need to click on the load button or if Autoload is activated simply wait for a split second after selecting the desired rig so the Profiler can load it into the selected slot automatically. Once you have successfully loaded a rig into a slot you need to store the performance using the STORE button.
Are you sure you either hit the load button or set autoload as active? See above quote from Kemper Support #1
Did you really follow these instructions?
Setting up Performances
You can navigate through the 125 Performances using the up and down buttons of the RIG navigation cross on the front panel of PROFILER Head, PowerHead, Rack and PowerRack. Use the left and right buttons or the <PAGE> buttons to select a Slot within a Performance. On the PROFILER Stage, use the TYPE knob or the Up/Down Buttons to navigate through the Performances and the <PAGE> buttons or the Rig Buttons to select one of the five Slots. By default, all Slots are pre-loaded with a default Rig, which happens to be based on the ancient Rig “CK 0”. The Performance itself has a default name. Once you have selected the Slot, choose the Rig you want to assign to it via BROWSE. The Rig will be copied and displayed in the highlighted Slot. At this point, we should mention that any edits will be lost if you select another Performance without storing it first.
The Kemper Profiler manual doesn't talk about Rig Manager.
I know but the question was how to do it WITHOUT Rig Manager:
Maybe stupid additional question: is it possible to change just the order of the Performances without having it connected to Rig Manager?
