Using imprints with other than Kone speakers (ie. Atomic CLR monitor in your case) is nonsense. I belive it sounded bad and now when you disabled it it is fine

Agree! I am waiting for production version 8 but I am looking forward to use this feature. I was really missing it!
you do understand correctly.
those guys a Kemper HQ definitely seem to listen to users ? -
In the current version (v7.5) you can set different imprints per differenr rigs but it is impossible to have for example imprint1 for rig A, imprint 2 for rig B and Full-Range mode for rig C. But now in v. 8 it is possible, at least I hope I understand it correctly.

You can overwrite it with the "New performance". Just drag and drop in RM.

vjelen so what Burkhard described did Not work because where the profiles are being loaded in is in the very bottom left of the R manager which is not accessable in 'Browse' mode. He must have assumed i am using Factory pre sets?
Page 237 is routing effects................. maybe a typo?
Thanks for anyone chiming in!
Sorry, page 237 was in previous version of Main manual (7.0). In Main Manual 7.5 it is page 248. But why you don't just check table of content?
-
Burkhard Thanks! That's page 271 correct or is that more midi info? Took a while to find.
Any tips on making the profiles sound more open and not so dark and compressed? EQ? The mid treb and presence does not open them up much.
Main manual, page 237 ... "Performance mode"

I believe the Kone is moving to much air, I think I have a better sound quality with speakers for lower volume? or is the Kone also perfect for quiet playing at home/bandroom (alone with no drummer)?
I am using Kone at home and at low volume level and it is best sound I ever had! Before Kone I was trying monitors, FRFR devices (Headrush 108), classical guitar cabs etc. - Kone sounds the best!
-
Kabinet or some cab with Kone is what you probably need. But you are asking questions that you can easily answer yourself if you read basic materials: Main manual and Addendum 7.5

It definitely runs software. It has only ethernet going to it which means that the head communicates with the foot controller through ethernet messages.
Even simple button presses need to be monitored, changed to the appropriate ethernet message, and sent to the head unit so it knows what to do when a button is pressed.
The LCD also needs firmware to drive it.
You are talking about basic firmware which is part of almost all electronic devices. I am talking about operating system (and its updates). Those are 2 completely different things.

My understanding is, that remote doesn't run any sw. It is like keyboard connected to the pc. But maybe I am wrong.

Hi GuitarOfJustice,
I had same dilemma few months ago. If you want to go Kemper -> Power Amp -> Kabinet or cabinet with Kone or FRFR AND don't want to folow DIY route (as mentioned/described above) than you really need D class amplifier. Possible (and cost reasonable) options in my knowledge are:
- Seymoure Duncan Power Stage 170
- Harley Benton Thunder 99
- Hotone Loudster (this is what I have chosen and am very happy with it)
- ... there is another newly announced product from Harley Benton called GPA 100 which looks not bad
Also very popular here is TC Electronic BAM 200, however it is designed for bass and is not linear, so you need some EQ tweeking.
I hope this short list will help you with the decision.

I'm shooting fast with my rating: Kone is 10, HR FRFR is 6, Atomic CLR is 8, Yamaha DXR 10 is 7.
I fully agree with your rating re Kone & HR FRFR!

sorry Burkhard, which five pages in which of the manuals ? Is the reference manual or the basics the 'main manual' ? i can't seem to find anything in the TOC.
page 12 - 16

HoTone Loudster Portable Power Amp, 75 W, 4-16 Ohm
From Thomann for 144 EUR.
I use it with Kone and am quite satisfied.
At home I turn the volume max to 30%.
It is surprisingly loud & no colorization

Steps you have received (namely step 4.) are for all versions of Profilers except Stage. For Stage just press & hold the Store button (step 3) and switch the Stage ON (step 4). This worked for me fine.

Looks like you have Stage. Read Main manual, page 53, Front Panel Controls Stage, COPY and PASTE Buttons (N/A).
