Tried a different mic than I usually use for this - comments?

I though it sounded great...but a little nasal maybe (which I happen to like)? It's hard to say what you were going for without any basis of comparison. Another mic from exactly the same position would be interesting.

I hope it's a cheap one.

I has a very coloured sound and a boost in the high mids. So i guess it´s no condenser.

Perhaps somehing weird like using a speaker reversed as a mic?

Didn´t mean it sounds weird. Just cause you´re letting us guess i thought that it´s either something very cheap, very expensive or very uncommon

Without any reference sound mike like a balanced sounding condenser it´s very hard to guess. If you havent dialed in a very mid boosted sound i would say it´s no condenser, because there is that mid hump and little hi end. But perhaps that´s because i am not that skilled in those kinds of sounds.

You said it sounds like the amp in the room so it must be an omnidirectionnal microphone.

Wow, i was completely off

When i use my LDCs as only mics, i mostly get a rather scooped sound and a lot of high end so in most cases i end up adding a little bit of SM57 mid boost.

Btw, AT mics are really nice

I think that your profiling/micking skills have improved a lot lately. the new free Bogner XTC profiles sound great.
I like that your higain profiles are very musical and not too harsh and bright sounding like a lot of other higain profiles out there.

I will buy a meatl pack from you if you ever do one.
