So what profile is this? Link? I'm starting to get very confused.
Has someone recorded with a Friedman profile? Now I did.

since this is not so much about free profiles, I moved the thread here.

YO, here we go ...
I have dared to use the riff from Thomas Dill and used my - IMHO - best profile of a friedman to re-record the tune.RECORDING!
Here it is. EnjoyGreat tone Geraldo!

burningyen, fantastic work of a difficult song. this song recorded on new year's eve 1970 is the himalaya of Jimi. It is still sending shivers down my spine, no matter how often i listen to it. But - was this done with a friedman profile?Yes, I used timowens' HAWP7 MSTR-05 profile of his BE100...
Just to clarify for you, Geraldo, seeing as you did mention that you'd not heard of the JTV, Ben used the Line6 JTV69s, which is the single-coil (SSS) version of the JTV69 (HSS), the strat-style model in a range of modelling guitars designed in part by James Tyler and manufactured by L6 in Korea (I think) and optionally, at much greater expense, in the USA. There is the '59, an LP-styled unit, the aforementioned strat-like 69, and the shred-inspired 89, the latest model of which features an FL-licenced trem.I have the HSS JTV69 and whilst it's not of stellar build quality, the Tyler line is much improved over the original L6 modelling guitars, which you've no doubt heard of; they were simply known as "Variax".

Thank you. It become clear over the course of the discussion and recording that - to me - almost only professional profiles do. It is better here. thx
@bigb6611 thx!
@Monkey_Man wow! thx

Oh yeah, sorry I missed that comment. I used my JTV-69S' '59 Strat neck PU simulation in D standard alt tuning. Like Han Solo with the Millenium Falcon, I made a few modifications:

Cool mods, Ben!
You've obviously added the Roland transducer, but what's the toggle switch for, if I may ask?
-
Guitar/mix/synth.

Awesome!
Thanks mate.

- at first i was not so happy with profiles of friedman's amps, but it changed –– here is my personal TOP5
- @5 –– it is amazing how good the old profiles of MiLLa sound, free profiles
- @4 –– the various BEs from Tim Owens –– monster thread with hundreds of good profiles, free profiles
- @3 –– the BE on MBritt's Pack 3, commercial profiles
- and then there were two ...
–––––––– The incredible Dirty Laverne by MBritt | A new Dirty Profile by Andi, soon to be published ––––––––––––––
... and i could not –– for the love of god –– which one to take to the lonely island, This is my very personal conclusion to weeks of testing and recording,

Actually i wnated to update this thread only and post a poll about IMHO best profiles (Friedman) for a Strat, but i could not add the poll, added a new topic and the poll got lost on the way ...
Suggestions?

-
I like the 1st best.

Good taste, burnig yen, my favourite, too. Polls are not possible, so i wait for different opinions ...
