...and, its wise to not rely on having an internet connection in a foreign place. Another factor to limit progress or fail.

Not sure how you did it, but this wasn't my quote?

Apologies, karlic - not fully got to grips with this new forum yet. (i've re-edited, i think....)
I'm not a regular RM user but I can't find it anywhere, and i'm going to seem dumb asking this, but can i back up my profiler using rig-manager?
I can see how to backup/copy profiles and performances in RM but that's all.
(or maybe its only possible via USB stick?)
Keep a backup of everything on the USB, including OS
I believe you can only back up your rigs via either the RM or a USB stick, the actual OS file can only be downloaded from the Kemper website.
You can backup directly from the Kemper
So, it worked!
Arrived at venue with 30 mins setup and 30min soundcheck. KPA power rack but “real” 4x12 cabinet declined in favour of frfr wedge and IEM.
Reluctantly done os upgrade from 5.5.1 to 5.5.2 to ensure continuity with my “gigging” backup. Took just under 10 mins to upgrade, all the time waiting for the power cable to get detached mid-upgrade. Rebooted and shoved in my usb backup which took about 5 mins including reboot. I think the unit came with factory defaults so was quick to restart.
Only issue was the inconsistent delay-tap flashing led, but it’s always like this, whatever kpa i’ve encountered.
Felt very at home. Managed to remove my backup and return it back to its initial state afterwards. No one stealing those profiles!
If only every fly gig was like this!
