Plugged the pedal in and tested going through the various performances I use, switching to tuner mode, and back to performance mode. I couldn't recreate the issue. Only other differences are what I am outputting into, which should not play any part in this. The only other odd thing I noticed was that, after being gone for a while, the issue where the Kemper was skipping performances moving up and down is back. Performance 1 and 2 have chorus in slot 1. Maybe the amp is changing, and the stomps say they are changing, but really aren't. Only problem with that theory is that it appeared in stomp 2 once and stop 4 once. If I can get it to happen again, I'm going to try to unplug then pedal and go up and down with the buttons, to see if the chorus still gets stuck.
The pedal is a simple 5 button Tech 21 Midi Mongoose, that had been working fine for two years. Odd that the issue started out of nowhere, but I can't reproduce it at home.
Good idea. With a midi monitor like the midi ox you could check what’s being sent by the controller.

sounds like the midi pedal might have been sending a rogue command.
Weird I had been using the pedal for almost two years, with no issues, but definitely need to investigate there, since I couldn't reproduce it today. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just opened a ticket. I've been trying to reproduce it, today, with no luck. The only difference is, I don't have a MIDI pedal hooked up, right now, but I was trying to use the computer to switch performances using MIDI. I think that would replicate that behavior well enough.
TL;DR explanation. Chorus is magically replacing stomp slots, even though the stomp slots still say compressor or delay.
I am running OS Version Release 8.0.6.24597 in performance mode. I have been running this version since February 2021. Performance 3 slot 1 is MBritt 65 Voice ACE30 N 3, which is a clean AC30.
In the Stomps section, slot 1 is off, slot 2 is a compressor, slot 3 is off, and slot 4 is a slapback delay.
In the Effect section, slot 1 is graphic eq. Slot 2 and 3 are off. Slot 4 is reverb.
The only locked setting is effects slot 1, which is the graphic eq.
Last weekend, at a gig, I switched to this performance, and suddenly there was chorus on it. It went from being my country/rock edge of breakup clean to sounding like what I'd use for 80s rock clean. I was certain our singer messed with something on the board, so I checked it out and it was fine.
Yesterday, at practice, the same thing happened. Chorus magically appeared on the same setting. Having more time to troubleshoot, I started disabling effects. When I disabled the compressor, the chorus sound went away. If I re-enabled it, the chorus came back. I held the button for slot 2, and verified it still said Compressor. I copied the compressor effect from a different performance, overwrote the broken compressor in performance 3, and saved the profile. Everything was fine.
About an hour later, I noticed the chorus was back. I disabled the compressor stomp and the chorus was still there. I disabled the delay stomp, and the chorus was gone. I held the button for stomp 4 and verified that delay was still there.
I just booted up the amp and took a backup, so I could reproduce the issue and create a support ticket, but so far I haven't been able to recreate it, yet, today. Anyone seen strange behavior like this before?

I didn't even download the free sample for the new Recto, because I didn't need to. I just went straight to the store an bought the pack. Awesome job on this one! So many great tones for rock, punk, and metal. I definitely got my money's worth out of your other Recto packs and this one will definitely be the same. I know you go all out with the number of profiles, but didn't expect Group 1 to have 86 profiles. I needed something to motivate me after months of barely touching my guitar. Thanks!

dB Cooper Your experience with the high gain tones is disappointing, although the EVH demo already I heard was quite good. I guess capture will cover most things if there's a question over the modelling side.
I don't really consider the big screen access on any modeller to be anything more than a pretty display with editors available. Kemper was always the easiest to make adjustments from the front panel, although who makes in depth edits at a show.
Does anyone have a list of all the IR lengths supported on each Modelling platform?
I agree with you. To each his own, but I cannot imagine not having the physical buttons and switches on the Kemper, playing live. I have my performance rigs set at stage volume, so I don't do a lot of tweaking, but it is so nice to just be able to turn a knob, when necessary, than paging through 20 pages of options, to adjust something simple. Kemper definitely nailed it with their physical interface.
my Powerhead and 4x12 setup for many, many gigs says otherwise - are you guys not playing loud enough?
Not playing loud enough or not auditioning profiles at stage volume seems to be the cause of a lot of problems. I miss being able to play that loud. Maybe later this year! 
What settings you guys have for the micro pitch to get that CC deville sound
I've messed around with chorus and micro pitch on it, both before and after the amp, but I'm sure my settings aren't even close to the real CC sound. I'd really like to hear from some people who know what they are doing with effects (that's definitely not me, haha), to see what they are using.
Hello everybody, as of today I'm a proud Kemper user. I've bought mine second handed from a guy that had more than 1000 profiles on the KPA.
Didn't know where to start! Since most of the profiles sounded like shit, I deleted everything from the KPA.
Can you guys recommend some nice 'starter packs'? Just found the JM on Tone Junkie and that sounds amazing! So I know there is potential in this!!

You are not in the team, you've probably never kicked a football in 30 years and yet you think you are an expert and think you are somehow part of the team...mainly UK reference here, sorry to my international friends...
Now, here's my twisted logic.. ( and I had exactly this argument with a football fan friend of mine)....I'm out there playing my guitar, not sitting at home commenting on how I could do it better. Therefore I feel I can wear my band tshirt with confidence.
That follows on with my ENGL t shirts and Marshall ones....I use the equipment so I feel legitimised in some weird way
Couple that with my natural arrogance and wanting to show off, I think I'd look cool in a Kemper t shirt because there will be 4 types of people who see it:
1) Non Guitarist - whats a Kemper - Dude you must be cool to wear something I don't know what it is, you must be part of some secret club.
2) Guitarist aspiring or has a Kemper - yeah dude you look/are cool
3) Guitarist who uses Helix/Axe/Valves - Dude you've made the wrong choice but you are still cool and come and have a debate with me.
4) My wife - why the hell can;t you wear something other than a band/music t shirt...so embarrassing!!! You never look cool.
I appreciate this is similar to listening to your music loud in your car with the windows down and your arm out of the window.....you think you look cool but no-one else thinks you do, but this is my delusion and I can;t change it

I'm well beyond the looking cool years or the caring about looking cool years (not that I ever really cared about looking cool or ever looked cool). I wear my band shirts and music gear shirts because I like them. Everyone else can get off my lawn =)
Also, the choice of profiles you use for live use can sometimes be very different than the ones you want to use at home, for recording, etc. You really need to find the profiles that sound good at FOH, before you worry about eqs, tweaks, etc. If you have a laptop with Rig Manager on it, and a way to audition your profiles at stage volume, that is a good starting point.
I set my FOH sound at stage volume. At stage volume is very important, because if it sounds good at bedroom volume, it is going to sound awful FOH. After getting FOH how I like it, I have some control over my monitor volume, because I send mains to FOH and Monitor to my monitor cab. I use the output block to adjust the monitor to my liking. What is going to FOH is much more important than my monitor, though, so the main setup is to make FOH sound good and then get monitor as good as I can after setting main.
Set the high cut to around 6.5k, the low cut to around 100, and turn the reverb WAY down. A lot of his sound better for recording, to me, than for live use.
I hate playing out running a beta OS. Maybe if I rush and update the OS on my Kemper, bars will start having bands, around here, again! =)
Curiosity question...
How important is knowing what amp is being profiled? Is it vital to know what amp is making the sound you are hearing or is just hearing a great sound enough? I mean, most profilers already change the names so as not to infringe on copyrights. Is it just in the "knowing" the amp brand/model or do you just listen to the tone with no care about what amp it is?
It probably shouldn't be important, but I know a lot of people, myself included, "hear with their eyes" as well as their ears. I'd sure I'd be fine using the performances from your last couple packs without knowing what they are, but I still like to know. I really like the write ups you do about the amps that you include in your packs, as well.
Problem is still occurring as of the latest OS release.
