Here are 144 Fortin modded JVM Marshall profiles. 16 different amp settings, 8 different microphones used - vintage SM57, newer SM57, i5, Heil PR20, AT 2035, e609 Silver, MXL Ribbon mic, and a combo of the Heil and Ribbon mic. Everything went through either a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 or a Focusrite ISA One preamp.
Used my favorite metal cab - 1992 Mesa oversize armor. It's heavy in many ways.
Since there are 144, I split em up into two sets - one is the clean/crunch channels, other are the overdrive channels. OF course, I think you need all of them, but this way if you just want the gain train, you can pick it... but Fortin amps are a lot more than just awesome grind. The JVM Marshalls have six channels basically - Green Clean, Orange Crunch, Red Crunch, and then Green, Yellow and Red Overdrive.
The Clean/Crunch set goes from crystal clean (and it sounds great) to crunchy marshall, with a bit of a sag/vintage feel. Just to make things interesting I used a Voodoo Labs Giggity pedal to pull some nice sustain leads out of one profile set.
Overdrive starts with crunch and goes to total facemelting. I of course cranked the heck out of the amp - my guitars nearly shook off the walls - so most of these profiles are yellow channel. Even only half way up on yellow, the gain was nearly maxed on the Kemper. I could only pull a few red profiles, due to the amounts of gain - it was so noisy that the kemper refused to profile. I kid you not, at 1/4 gain on the red, it maxed out all but the last LED on some profile settings. There is no lack of gain on this profile set!
Amp settings are documented with photos of any changes on the amp. I even included a pic showing the Giggity settings.
I know we've had a bounty of awesome high gain profiles lately, but I think these are worth checking out. I'll have some good clips in a few days. I need to rest my ears.
