I want to buy a new audio interface to record. The selection on the market is extremely large and so I ask you, which interface you
have
in use. I also want to use reamp technology not only normal recordings. It would be great if it would run even under windows XP!
Thanks for your tips!
Audio interface recommendation?

I just bought the Universal Audio Apollo Twin with realtime plugins (Softube amps included), an awesome interface (Thunderbolt only = newest and fastest technology). Here you can order it for example.
If you want to buy an interface for Windows or even XP, good luck...

Roland Quad Capture. Affordable, has enough ins/outs to cover most basic needs (including reamping), and the driver says it'll run on XP.

Get one which uses firewire - much less trouble than usb.

What's your budget and how many channels do you need? Do you plan on recording drums with it? Do you want to use external mic preamps with it in the future?
I have the Steinberg/Yamaha MR816X, great preamps and conversion quality. The Coraxo EP was recorded with it (link in signature), guitars and bass are the Kemper through s/pdif.
This could be a useful read as well:

I have a firewire interface too, but I'm increasingly finding that the way Windows keeps changing protocols and code, firewire is likely to be phased out in favour of some new standard. My device is an RME, rock solid, but with Windows, I find there's always some or the other weird bug to screw things up.
Look at Windows 7, for example. There was so much trouble getting the current firewire drivers to work with interfaces. Finally, they had to release legacy drivers to ensure things would work.

Nakedzen, I only record myself so I don't need many inputs. I really want quality I/O though as I have very nice classical guitars. All my electric stuff goes through the KPA. Thanks for the link.
I don't think USB is an issue with companies like Audient, SPL, NI etc. making interfaces getting praise. I've seen the calculations that show that USB2 is more than enough for many tracks of audio etc. . . . . . I'm no expert though.
