Yes, amazing.
War is over, digital has won. -
Wow, you don't see that everyday...lol
-
Not surprised by the laid back attitude from the poster ... note the poster's location!
Cheers,
jayson

... Is Washington a laid-back people's place?
Jayson, my friend... Pretty sure I'm missing something here...
-
I'm pretty sure that jayson thank that it was Kingston Ontario (Canada) as he is canadian himself.

This is a a very nicely, fair minded, artical. Bravo to the poster. It did appear he was from Tacoma, Washington
-
Yes! Very refreshing to read some peacefull opinion from a digital device user without the fanboy's war watermarked.

The Kingston part did catch my eye and then I saw it was the State of Washington and put two and two together!

@ Jayson: I feel you, bro
@ Pick909, Ingolf: Thanks guys, I saw your posts there as well. I believe we can do / have done our part to make that war become more and more meaningless. And to parhaps bring a more European / Canadian / Washingtonian ( ) spirit onto TGP
-
In the Washingtonian spirit we should all smoke the peace pipe!

Never read such balanced, relaxed post and attitude from an Axe-Fx user
Now THERES an oxymoron for you!
ha just messing! Glad to see we're all getting along nowadays....
-
Nice balanced opinion and I guess in the eternal discussion of what is better or the best a well-tempered assessment.
I am sure most people would think like this too...
-
No jokes, I love Canadians
(FWIW, I have lots of relatives there... Toronto, Sault Ste. Marie, some Ontario lake islands... and many other places I'm not even aware of. Canada has been one of the preferred destinations for Italian emigrants for almost 200 years)

I've conversed with Deaj in the past on different things on TGP, and he is a class act. He loves his Axe-FX II, but doesn't enter into the endless bickering and the "mine is bigger than yours" behavior that you see from many Axe-FX owners on the forums. There's moderators there too that get caught up in this also -- all too often just asking people to chill and play and enjoy the options -- yet constantly butting into threads to champion their beloved modeler and put down the competition. It definitely gets tiring. I guess their behavior mimics the company owner.
Definitely love Canada! One of the few who dared to move from the USA to Canada and haven't looked back.

"For there is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so".
(William Shakespeare)However, this discussion reminds me a little bit of the introduction of the Audio-CD in the early 80s. Back then everbody wanted the CD and thought this is the future. Many immediately sold their vinyl record collections.
Now the vinyl market is gaining in the 2-figure percentage range annually and over here in Germany 1 million new turntables are being sold every year over the counter. Those who feel to sell their amps should do it, but I think tube amps will still keep their "raison d´être"... despite the KPA (or Axe-FX).
I buy CDs but I also buy vinyl records (if I feel an album is worth it ... not each one is...) and I have never sold my vinyl records.
I love my KPA but I will never sell my (Pre)Amps either. It´s a matter of taste ... and how and where you want to use your KPA (or Axe-FX).

I would agree -- tube amps have their place and are nice to have. Not just tube amps though. The Pearce G2r combo SS amp is killer.
Regarding turntables and vinyl -- I'd be interested in the demographics of who's buying those. If I had to guess, it would be the baby boomer crowd with a huge dose of nostalgia -- not the millenials.
