Glad to see the community works!
To be honest i'm a bit greedy that you can put the remote inside the lid... I would love to do that too
anyway, i like your rack

KPA head and old faithfull FCB1010 up for sale in local classifieds.
New power rack and SKB 4U Roto Shallow Rack (as recommended by the good folk of the forum) is now here to stay.
Post gig midnight breakdown/commutes should be a bit less stressful now.
Added some pictures showing the remotes fit in the SKB's lid. I'm going to add some velcro straps to keep it in place, but it should work like a charm!

Awesome! Though, does that not scratch the front ofmthe Profiler? or would it not mash the backs of the boots of any cables plugged in to the rear?
Slight update to the rig....got everything housed in a 8U rack- MUCH better! Fewer trips to the truck during load in/ out, and I like the convenience of having everything already wired up ready to go.

Just wondering the spec of your 1x12 cab... what wattage is it rated at?
What specs are suitable for a 1x12 being used in conjunction with a powered Kemper rack?

As the rack is shallow, making connections is much easier than I expected. Because of this I'm going to hold off making a front patch panel in the spare 1u space and leave it to pack cables etc.
Added some foam (attached with spray adhesive) and zip tied a velcro strap to the back bar of the lid. Super solid now, cant move around and takes 2 seconds to remove the Remote from the lid.
I stuffed the little bit left over foam in the back of the rack to really keep everything in place (and seperates the "cable storage" area from the remote). Just pull it out to make connections.
By pure luck, the thickness of the velco keeps the back of the remote from banging into the edge of the lid, which keeps the protruding "contrast" knob away from harm. Good luck over good planning on that one.
Happy days,

Well that just looks spot on! Couple (4) rubber feet on the bottom of that lid and you don't need to remove the remote at all - makeshift pedalboard!!
My only qualms with the shallow 4U root moulded SKB is the price and the fact that the lids can't be padlocked once in place...!

It's a Bogner Cube with a single Vintage 30 rated at 60 watts. As to what would work with the powered Kemper, I'm not sure. I'm coming from a tube amp background, so my knowledge of what works with solid state power amps is pretty limited!
From last night's gig:
The top three pedals aren't connected. I just kept them on there to take up space.
I am loving the Kemper setup and am completely converted. Everything sounded killer last night. Got lots of comments on how great everything sounded.

Ah. Is yours non-powered then? (Are you running to a 3rd party external power amp and that to the 1x12?)
cheers

What wireless is that? (It's nice and compact! - is it any good?)
So you don't bother with the FX on the Kemper and use your board then...?

It is a Line 6 G30. I have used it for a couple dozen shows with no issues at all.
The Remote came on Thursday and the show was last night (Saturday). I didn't really have time to program all the switches.

Correct....my Kemper isn't a powered version. I'm using the Peavey Classic 60 power amp in the bottom of the rack to drive the Bogner cab.
Does anyone know what specs a 1x12 cab has to be for suitable use with the powered Kempers...?
I plugged my powered rack into my Mesa Recto 2x12 without even thinking about wattage (made sure impedance so matched...) and it seems to be fine! But what wattage would be suitable for a 1x12?!
Also, can anyone confirm the size of rack screws for 19" audio racks / the Kemper rack specifically -- are they M6 cage nuts ??
Cheers

I just picked up the DV Mark cab a few days ago. Haven't had a chance to use it for band practice and REALLY crank it, though I did spend some with it running pretty loud at Guitar Center before I bought it. It's somehow even lighter than my Port City 1x12 OS with a Tonkerlite neo speaker. I love the AMT mini expressions. I have one set for wah with bypass @ heel and the other for volume, works great for both. The Pedaltrain Metro 24 is the PERFECT size for everything too. I kept checking Google almost every day until they were finally available for preorder at Sweetwater so I jumped on it. Really happy with my rig now. Light, compact, versatile, and LOUD.
Looks really compact, indeed!
How did you fix the remote on the pedaltrain board?

I just removed the feet and used velcro.

Just to confirm...
You couldn't put the lid with the remote on the front - as it would mash the front of the Kemper?
With it on the back does it hit any of the boots of cables ?
You can't lock the latches of the ROTO 4U SKB?
Could you you tell me the EXTERNAL measurements of the case (with/without lids)
cheers
Is anybody able to answer my 2 posts from May 18th & May 19th ... (Above) ?
Thanks in advance
Hey nEVH5150,
I was away all long weekend (gigs! was awesome!) so didnt see your post. Here's what I can share off the top of my head.
- You couldn't put the lid with the remote on the front - as it would mash the front of the Kemper? Havnt actually tried the fitting it in front side of the rack. Will try that tonight and let you know. I dont think it will fit though.
- With it on the back does it hit any of the boots of cables ? I dont have a patch panel as the case is so shallow, It's not really needed. At a guess I'd say it misses the back of the kemper (with no cables plugged in) by a good 2 1/2 inches. It will be close. I will slap some straight jacks in there tonight and let you know for sure. If you use angled jacks its 100% going to fit.
- You can't lock the latches of the ROTO 4U SKB? Correct. The latches do not lock.
- Could you you tell me the EXTERNAL measurements of the case (with/without lids). Will do that tonight too.
