If I make a preset, then tweak it and try to save, there is no option to replace the existing preset of identical name. I know there's a date on there, so it's not too hard to delete the old one after the fact; but it can be a pain. It's confusing to have multiple presets with identical names.
Option to overwrite Presets with the same name

Now that we have Rig Manager, it is a lot easier to um..er...manage the deletion.
BUT:
If you have the Presets in an RM folder (not in your Profiler),1) Audition the Rig.
2) Edit it
3) Save it in the Profiler. The original Preset is still in your Presets folder in RM

So you can import an effect or effects preset file into rig manager?!? I thought it was only for rigs...
So it loads a blank profile but the preset is there?

No - Rig Manager is only for Rigs.
I didn't realize this FR was for FX presets - I thought you wanted to be able edit a Factor Preset Rig, and save it without a new name.

+1 I've had to clean up duplicates many times, both for effects and rigs with the same names. It's also a bit tricky to figure out exactly which one is set up for midi usage in the midi assign menu.

Yes the rigs do prompt to replace or store as, before you name them. Itd be nice if it could detect a same name THEN offer that prompt and perhaps even append (1) etc if you want to store with duplicate name. Also a rename option instead of store as then deleting the former name

(same procedure when storing Performances = press "save" three times) -
