good frfr speaker for about 500 a 600 euro max?..

Hey guys,

I own a kemper powerrack and currently use it on fryette 4 x 12 cab. Sounds good and clear, but a bit scared for gigs, that FOH whill/Probably sound diffrently then cab.

Thats why im looking fir good frfr speaker to setup and use kemper.

I Stumbled upon

Yamaha dxr 10 or 12

Hk premium pro 12 or 15.

On forum

Any other suggestions?

Budget between 500 and 600 euro.

Also another question:

I heard you can use the kemper on cab with cabs of and at same time frfr speaker with cabs on. Is this true? And how can i setup the kemper to do so?

If you have a powered Kemper, you can use the powered output to drive the guitar cab with Monitor Cabs Off engaged in the output section, then connect your active FRFR speaker to one of the main outs.

last week i checked some FRFR Cabs at my home
and the def best sounding with Guitar
is the Yamaha DXR10 which is in your price range
don't get the DXR 8 or 12 its only the 10 which works very well

You should check the price of a passive CLR. Could you maybe spend like 100 € more?
If you email Tom King @ Atomic Amps and ask for a deal you might end up having a very merry Christmas

Considering your budget: Yamaha DXR 10 is the way to go.
If a few quid more don't matter Gianfranco's passive CLR suggestion is a good one.

I certainly agree with this
But, not knowing the knowledge level of the OP, I'd not suggest an active cab as a first choice, and would at least clarify the difference with a passive cab in regards to his needs or expectations.
The fact that he's listed a number of active cabs in his post would require a certain regard IMO.

Ingolf talks up the DXR10 so I couldn't resist and have one being delivered tomorrow. I will let you know how it sounds up against the ZLX12P which I think sounds good.

Keep us posted what you find. I have a ZLX 12P as we'll among other's and IMO it pronounces highs and lows like a big hifi box whereas the DXR 10 pronounces the mids a bit. You'll need to use the unpowered output of your unit of course.

Well Ingolf I have been using my DXR10's against the ZLX12P and your assessment was right on, it does pronounce the highs and lows more. I had cut back those frequencies in my setup which I thought sounded good. But the DXR10 is truly more of a flat response and a true representation of the KPA. Thanks for your input with this and I am happy I made the switch.
