Tim - could you try backing the sm57 off an inch or so, and maybe scoot it just a tiny bit (a quarter to a half-inch) toward the center? And then do some profiles with the F & S switches off, on the M75 speaker?
Have amps, will profile the BE100: Lets make some profiles...

Confirming...
Presence 4
Bass 6
Middle 6
Treble 5
Master 3,5
Gain 8
Channel = BE
FAT = Off
C45 - On
SAT = Off
Voice = RightCab = Legacy 412 with M75's.
SM57 1-3/4 inches from speaker frame (was 3/4") and 3/4" from center (was on the dust cap edge or about 1-1/8" from center) and zero degrees angle.If this is correct I can make the profile this evening before I tare down for my gig tomorrow.

Hi folks,
This thread is huge, and Tim Owens has published a massive number of profile versions of the BE100 (I believe it is up to Phase 26).
Can someone recommend a "Phase" that is an excellent representation of the BE100, and the best general introduction to Tim's profiles of this amp. If you could also advise the specific post # of this thread, which has the download link...that would be most appreciated.
Finally, a big tip of the hat to Tim Owens, for all the time, effort and enthusiasm he has put into this endeavor.
Thanks in advance,
JohnThanks in advance.

Plus 1, thanks to Tim for a ton of work.
However I must ask someone or Tim himself to recommend me a top 10 pack from the entire thread...please.

A top ten list would be awesome - then the kemper team will know what to put in the next rig pack, with a huge amount of respect to mr. Owens! (if he would be down with that, of course)

I did this a ways back and havent caught up with the later phases yet:

It is hard to say which session produced the best profiles, so much depends on your own personal taste, your guitar, your style of music, etc. Along the way we received so many fantastic suggestions which really resulted in a bunch of great profiles that covered a lot of different sonic ground. I'm sure that each person would have there own personal favorites, but I can say that for me personally I'm leaning towards the HAWP-4 session profiles, they just seem to fit my guitar (Fender American Deluxe HSS Strat) and my style of music, I'm hoping to expand on that session with some more profiles at different gain settings and of course with Direct Amp profiles so people can import their favorite cabs or merge the studio version cabs.
I'd be interested to hear which session other people prefer.

Thanks for the feedback, Tim. I have been impressed with everything, so far, so my original request was more of an appeal for someone to help me filter through the vast library. Again, it can't be said enough...thank you so much for all your work, effort and willingness to share with the Kemper community, of which I am just a newbie member.
I will definitely take a closer listen to the HAWP-4 sessions. Also, as a new Kemper Power Rack owner, I must say I am personally excited about any new Direct Profiles that you are able to make.
Cheers,
John -
Tim I have to agree. I dig the heck out of session 4. I'm going to put together my "favorites" list and then see if I can't bribe you to make some DI profiles of them...

I like hawp 8 a lot

Downloaded Pack 4.
Awesome Profiles, perfect EQ for my ears....messing with the KPA Gain and the EQ in the X slot creates all kinds of magic...thanks Tim great stuff.
Here's some inspirational BE100 stuff from my favourite guitarist.

Just realized I didn't have anything downloaded past Session 15 so I grabbed the rest. Looking forward to digging in!

One question.
I saved the 0 degrees Cab which I think was done with pre FW3 or 2.8.
If I use that Cab on Tim's new Direct Profiles is it the same as Merging a Cab?
Is the Cab on FW3 different to pre FW3? -
I did this a ways back and havent caught up with the later phases yet:

........wow , I guess I have been out of the loop, haven't kept up with this thread, thanks for this , does anyone else have all of the profiles together like this ? & thanks VERY MUCH to Tim for all the work , roger

I'm sorry for filling this section of the forum up with my project, hopefully this will be that last thread in this series.
This project is about the community profiling an amp together, we select an amp, speaker/cab, mics and start trying different things to get the best profile that we can.
In the first thread we voted on an amp to profile, the BE100 won.http://Have amps, will profile: Choose an amp.
In the second thread we voted on a speaker and cab combination, the Carvin Legacy with stock Vintage 30's won:http://Have amps, will profile: Choose an amp.
In the third and fourth threads we voted on single or dual mics, dual mics won and the mics selected were the SM57 and AT4040.I didn't have a lot of time but I made four quick profiles just as a baseline, you can test these profiles and then make your request or just make your request based on your experience and knowledge, whatever works for you. I just wanted to provide a baseline for those that wanted something to start with.
Here's what I did...
Friedman BE100.
Carvin Legacy 412 with stock Vintage 30's.
Dual mics consisting of the SM57 and AT4040.The SM57 was 2" from the front of the speaker frame, 1/2 inch from the edge of the dome, angle = 20deg towards the center of the speaker, level = 0dB.
The AT4040 was 2" from the front of the speaker frame, 1" from the edge of the dome, angle = 0deg, level = -5dB, Treble = -5 (on the mixer).
Both mic's were ran into an Allen Heath Mix Wizard 16:2 and then into the KPA.Amp settings...
Presence = 5
Bass = 7
Middle = 8
Treble = 5.5
Master = 2
Voice Switch = Right
FAT = Off
C45 = Off
SAT = OffFile/Rig names are HAWP-1 BE GAIN-x...
HAWP-1 = Have Amps Will Profile, Phase-1.
BE or HBE = the BE or HBE channel.
GAIN-x = the gain of the channel.Now it's up to you, tell me what you want to try. I would ask that you keep your request to 4 profiles each to start with so that I can try to get to as many requests as possible.
We'll probably need to go on a first come first serve basis. That being said, I'm open to comparing different speakers, cabs and mics if you want but that will take more time due to needing to set everything up so I will focus on requests based on the listed equipment first and then as time permits I'll try different equipment if you want. Either way it might take a few days before I can make some profiles but I'll try to do everyone's request as soon as I can.
The profiles and a few photos are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bct…QYIbl7ndKCeLsVJqxssa?dl=0
The ball is in your court, what do you want to try

That is missing 4 sessions I think (maybe 5) but they are easy enough to dig through and get.
-
In reading through the complete thread, I noted that the first profiling sessions in which Tim had upgraded to 3.0 Firmware, begins with Phase 21. Not sure if this is meaningful, or relevant, but I just thought I would point this out, for whomever might be interested.
Tim, if you happen to read this, please correct me if I am wrong. In other words, beginning with Phase 21 and up, your profiles have been based on Firmware 3.xx
Cheers,
John
