I'm looking at buying a CLR but frankly the styling of it, and the other active speaker options out there, is a negative for me. I'm wondering whether it's possible to deconstruct one and rebuild it into say a Bluesbreaker cab? Or is the CLR cab tuned and part of the performance equation?

The cabinet is part and parcel of the CLR's "FRFR sound". Moving the electronics into another cabinet would defeat the purpose of such a cabinet. which is intended to provide a flat response.

IOW, no, not possible without losing all the goodness that the CLR provides.

They don't look so bad to me...
However, I agree with Nightlight and Ingolf: don't change anything in these fantastic cabs.
Let me say that I prefer a great sound to a great look -

I for one like the look of the CLR. It's also available in cab form.
If you absolutely cannot stand its looks try the Palmer cab modification by kpa-solutions. This will look like a guitar cab. -
How about one of these?

Or look at Mission Engineering's Gemini cabinets, http://missionengineering.com/?product_cat=geminiamps similar in price to CLR's (the passive versions are even cheaper than CLR's), less hi-fi'ish sound according to some folks and definitely a cab look IMHO. They even have a matching head you can fit a Kemper rack unit into. Love that pic Zapman!!! lol

Love my CLR and the look is fine for me

Hey Jesone, you know Atomic make regular cabs as well as wedges, right?
