I have a profile of the head only di thru a load box. Question is can cabinets be added to this profile? If so, does anybody have any?
Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but my take on this would be yes you could add a cab to it with merged profiles that some people have made in 2.8 This is a studio profile and a DI profile obviously merged together so the cab can be removed completely. I haven't used any merged profiles yet but some people on here have had good results
-
thanks for the quick reply....looks like it will be available with firmware 3.0 from what I understand
-
You had to have downloaded FW2.8 to have tried this new profiling, but they removed this a few days ago ready for when they release FW3.0 which is arriving Q1 of this year so we have till the end of March but I'm sure it will be sooner than that
-
Hey michaiel, you can take the cab from any other profile you have installed. Try them all!
-
We've been changing cabinets in rigs for years - there is no need to wait
-
Yes you can change cab at the mo but the kemper does a little bit of guess work with removing the cab from the profile. The new FW 3.0 will allow the amp and cab to be totally separate from each other with a merged profile so no more guess work. On the other hand the guess work it does at the moment is still very good

excellent replies from everyone...thanks for the info. Have been looking for info on saving and installing the cab profile on a new rig?
Can some give me the cliff notes version? -
I'd strongly advise you to read the manuals
-
I have been reading the reference manual 2.5v, but still looking for what page it is on...
-
Are you maybe missing the other ore? There actually are two of them, and I am not sure which one you're referring to.
Feel free to visit the d\l section on the main site -

I have both books at home, but I downloaded the 2.5v that is on the site.
Kemper Profiler Reference Manual 2.5.pdf
KPA Manual EN Basics and Profiling
I have been reading thru both of them, but I haven't found where you can save, store, then install on a rig yet..."quote" KPA Manual EN Basics and Profiling > Building a Rig > Page 29
The CABINET button brings the cabinet section into focus. You can freely combine cabinets and amps
from different profiles to create new stacks, as well as tweak the following three parameters for every cabi-
net:
Doesn't say "how" to... -
select the CABINET slot
turn the BROWSE knob
choose between 'Presets' and 'From Rigs' (soft buttons 1 & 2)
use BROWSE knob or RIG buttons to select another cabinet -
When you are in Cabinet view, turn the Browse knob.
You you will see a tab for cabinets from other rigs, and a tab for stored cabinets.
Turning the browse know will auto load the other cabinet, if you have auto load turned on. Or, you can press the Select button.

Thank you for the info...I don't want to just "pick someone's brain" on this forum...I want to learn....
Is there a specific page number to this or is this secret spy sh@# ? -
Whenever you have ANY active screen, the Browse knob can be used. Amps, cabs, stomps, cabinets, EQ, etc.

two or three years of reading posts on this Forum can make things seem like they were read somewhere else
