A software editor for Kemper is useless.
If your kemper is sitting in a rack somewhere in your studio where not everything is at hand, a software editor is really useful. -

Even if not (as in my case) it can be useful. For him it might not be useful for whatever reasons. I have the toaster and I really would love to have an editor since I dont want to put the toaster up on my desk to dial in tones and tweak this or that. It just saves me space on my desk where I already have way to much stuff ;).
Another reason for me personally is the fact that you can speed up things with a well designed software. Espacially changing parameters would be way much faster if you could see als the parameters on one single screen. But all that is already mentioned in this thread :). -
I got Native. I have a Helix but I'll eventually get rid of it. $100 for it isn't bad and the editor is a great thing to use.
I'm still using Kemper for everything else and I'd record and play live with the Kemper, but the ease of having the ability to change tones and effects on the fly with an editor without having to reamp is really really great.
Please give me an editor so I don't have to use anything else!

Well, today is a big day for Helix. With Helix native, It's the talk of the town.
Meanwhile, over here? Not a peep.
It's not good.
Helix has an editor and plugin. Kemper has a 600W power amp. Hmmmm....
-
I'd rather the editor.
-
It also has models without a power amp.
People who work from a desktop have no need for a power amp when going direct, but absolutely have a need for an editor & plugins. As stated previously, it's marketed very directly as a studio tool.

In another 2 years they'll be like 'we've listened and here's your editor'.
-
This is the single biggest shortcoming of the device. I just assumed when I was making my decision that "Rig Manager" was an editor like the other players in this space. I honestly can't believe they haven't addressed the shortcomings of that software.

I just have a feeling that something big is going to drop, if it's an editor that's all good, if it's something else, that's also all good; at my end. I'm still not going to switch to helix or AXE FX because they have great editors since their amps tones aren't as good Kemper. I would love an editor, but so far it hasn't been a deal breaker since I bought it two years ago and was also shocked that there was no editor. For now Rig Manager is making life very easy in organizing profiles.
I should have a look at the latest rig manager. Any new cool features lately?
As for winter NAMM, I would rather see new verbs or better stomps .... things that actually effect the sound in a positive way.

I second this as well....even if we pay for an editor it would save me time while tracking....I use editors on other gear constantly and it is a necessity to me...
-
I'm ready to pay for an editor.
-
Yes I'll happily pony up the cash for an editor.
C'mon Kemper...it's time!
-
At this point... it might be worth payin' a little... Crazy....
