Did you try a rubber to rub away the stains?
That's a bummer for sure. Mine is on light colored carpet and I haven't looked under it since I got it. Time to take a peek I guess.

The pads will have some plasticiser. You have to chance the pads!

Shannon Lush, a lady who lives not far from me, has all the answers for absolutely any spills, stains, moulds and so on that you can imagine.
Most of her solutions involve household products (natural only) and sometimes pantyhose... or rotten milk!
She answers callers on local radio here, but unfortunately that might be tricky for you over in Europe. She's written a bunch of handy books too, so that might be an option besides perhaps registering at the site.

Have you tried using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pad? Works great on all sorts of stubborn stains that seem to defy all others cleaning solutions. Before you throw in the towel, give this a whirl. And best of luck to you.

This is true, my wife erased all the black stains that our keyboard player left on our stairway walls with his damn Metal cases.
Please don't underestimate Shannon Lush.

You wouldn't believe the sorts of problems she's cured, and all on-the-spot(!) too, with zero preparation on her part, such is the depth and breadth of her knowledge in the scratch / tarnish / stain / seep / mould / smell or what have you areas.
Honestly, your stain issue seems trivial compared to what I've heard her "fix".

Sounds good along with the eraser pad. Hopefully something will work out for him, if his wife didn't beat him with the remote already.

Chamelon, if you're in the US you can find Mr. Clean Magic Erasers in the laundry/household cleaners aisle of any supermarket. If you're in Europe and the product isn't readily available, I'd try ordering it online. It's a very inexpensive item.
