I'm trying to profile my 5150 through a 5150 cab with an SM57 and an MD421.
The tone I have I'm quite happy with. It's the first part of the clip above. The second part is what my profiler comes up with as the profiled amp tone.
I'm a loss as to what to do here. I've tried just using the SM57 and doing away with the summed microphones and I get the same thing.
do you get the same result with just one mic plugged directly into the Profiler (no preamp etc.?)
can you use a patch cable to connect Send and Return and make a profile? (profiling the patch cable in essence)
how does that profile compare to the real thing?

I believe I've found the issue. I hit the ground lift there was a small hum that I hadn't picked up on. I think it was causing interference. Thank you for your help. Just tried again and it's much, much closer

Sounds like more than a ground lift to me... Are you setting your input levels on the Kemper side?
Sounds like you are trying to capture that profile way too hot.
