Would it be possible to have a separate Send Midi Clock option for device A and device B, instead of one global setting?
The reason is that I'm hooking up the Strymon Timeline to the Midi Out, and I want it to follow the Midi Clock from the Kemper for its delays. I'm also hooking up the Strymon Mobius to the Midi Thru port, which I DON'T want to follow the Midi Clock...
Even more interesting would be to have an option per performance slot, separately per device. But I would already be happy to have two global settings instead of one!
Send Midi Clock separate option per midi device

At the moment, the Kemper will send midi clock on the out and through, if I have it right. No way to send clock on one and not on the other.
Hopefully Kemper can come up with a soft button that allows you to choose whether midi clock is send on both output and through, or just one or the other.

Yes, there is an option on both the Mobius and the TimeLine. But unfortunately, the Mobius has a bug with the midi clock ON, so I have to turn it off while I'm waiting for the new firmware version that they announced. On the Kemper, there is indeed only one button for BOTH out and thru ports...

It's good that this setting is on the pedal. What is the bug with the Mobius?

You can set the MIDI CL to OFF, however, as soon as the pedal receives MIDI Clock, the current SPEED setting on the pedal will freeze and remain in all the other presets of the pedal.
So I have no choice as to put it to OFF... for now. -
Ah, that is a bit of a downer.
I really think this is an issue that needs to be fixed at your pedal end, rather than on the Kemper, since most devices allow you to set midi clock on or off, but not different behaviour on different ports. Sure, it could be of use, but only in a situation like yours where the pedal is not functioning as it should.
I'm sure Strymon will work out that issue before Kemper does at any rate

But you can also use something like this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/midi_solutions_event_processor.htm
So you can filter Midi clock out... It is no cheap solution, but it could help. -

I'm using an iPad app called MidiFlow which is really fantastic. It does that and much much more. I ordered an iConnectivity iMidiConnect 2 as a midi interface to the iPad as well. Just have to test if the response times are fast enough.
