Hey all.
Took a whack at covering Rush YYZ. Alex is always a quirky challenge, but great fun to try!

Sounds pretty good! What patch did you use on this?
Thanks for listening! Think it's a Friedman of some sort. Can't recall the particular profile. Will find out when I get home and report back.
Looks like I used a Soundside.de "Egghead Tweak 88 Seeking to re-create the sound of a Egnater® Tweaker 88 Amplifier" profile. I renamed it for my own purposes when I recorded, and don't remember exactly which one. The inspector in rig manager states that the author is "Soundside.de", the manufacturer and model is "ETweak", and the cabinet is manufacturer is "Elm".
You know I always love your efforts, man, and I've always loved this song. Here are my biased views anyway based on my crappy Mac speaker:
I can honestly say I think you guys gave the song the energy and punch it deserves. The way the note at 2:52 develops as it sings... perfect! The drums sound mighty, ballsy and glassy all at the same time. Awesome, man. The toms are pure gold! The bass nails the fills, and tone is exactly what the song intended it to be, I reckon.
Once again, it's another slam dunk for the ChopMan... from Hell! LOL
OK... now I'm thinking you used a backing track/s; if you didn't, you're so close I can't even tell on this Mac speaker! LOL
Oh yeah, the drums and bass I found on youtube. Only the guitar is me. I wish there were some dudes where I live to record stuff like this with. I just played the guitar parts and then tweaked the mix a bit, all just for fun. So I hope you still dig the guitar! Thanks for taking the time!
I used the PRS to track the rhythm and all lead parts, with the exception of the endlessly sustained notes for which I used the Schecter with the Sustainiac. Works great with the Kemper!
Tasty!
So I hope you still dig the guitar! Thanks for taking the time!
Of course I did, man!
I was just trying to give credit to the rest of your (non-existent in this case) band, brother, for the sterling job they did. LOL
If it means anything, it's already living in iTunes, right next to your "A Lie Becomes the Truth" from last month.
Cool, thanks! The originals are all, well, original - and the serious end of things for me. The covers are usually with youtube assistance and just for fun. I really get a kick out of seeing how I can fit myself and the Kemper into tunes I still hold dear from my youth.
The Kemper never disappoints.

Indeed, and you don't either, mate.
Good attempt to great track of rock monsters.
This song has timing of 5/4 which.
If you translate Y Y Z to morse code you get this intro at 5th second
- . - - (Y)
- . - - (Y)
- - . . (Z)
(repeat)
Thanks for listening!
