Using the Transpose Stomp for metal riffing:

Hi guys, just wanted to share my newest video with the KPA.

For this video I played 12 different riffs from 12 different songs, each in a progressively lower tuning. All of these were recorded with a guitar and bass tuned to E, and the signal was then pitch shifted down to the correct pitch using the Transpose Stomp on the KPA.

A few people have mentioned that the snare is loud here, which is weird because I deliberately mixed the guitar louder than usual. Must be a monitoring issue I guess!

Good idea, I'll do a drum-less version when I get chance and will post it here when it's up!

I printed the audio without the drums earlier today, I will get the video up tomorrow.

As you will probably hear, the warping and artefacts that are introduced by the processing is FAR more noticeable on the bass than on the guitars.

And yeah Karlic, it is actually better than I was used to. When just playing along to a song or whatever it works fine for 1-2 semitones in either direction, if you go much further things start to get weird. If you are pitch shifting something you have already recorded then as you can see in the video it's a lot more usable.
