Morning all.
I'm fairly new to the Kemper and yesterday I tried my hand at Morphing as for some reason I thought "I don't need this and it sounds complicated" and how wrong was I. Took me about 5 minutes to program in 5 performance patches for a song I am working on morphing in the FreqOut along with turning on delay then trailing the delay off, adding gain as the lead part increases in intensity. ...... Superb feature.
Whilst I was recording it was hard to manually time the morphing along with playing lead (fading in some feedback with a long delay) which got me to thinking about using midi in the Event Viewer of Cubase to program the changes.
What I am trying to achieve is turning on stomps, ramping up and down delay effects, controlling wah etc.
Now I tried this with a USB to Midi cable and just couldn't get it to work. Turning a knob on the Kemper did not write to the automation lane. Before I go out and buy a midisport is the above achievable? Does anybody currently use it this way with Cubase and how are you setting it up.
I did watch a video posted on here that showed somebody doing this exact type of automation but it did not explain how or what gear was used. I have looked on the forum and found a few posts but they covered the technical side of midi plus tended to be about triggering patches for live automation.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Mike
