Powered Kemper with 1 x 12 Greenback - Lacking high end

  • Good day everyone :)

So a couple of weeks ago I got a powered head and am extremely happy with it.

However, last week I got a closed back (relatively big) 1 x 12 with a 2001 English made greenback, and when I use it with the Kemper it just seems muddy and lacking high end (even when using the Texas special in the bridge of my strat.)

This problem is worse for high gain profiles.

The cab section is off, I have double-checked, and I have used both merged and normal profiles from a variety of people.

I moved cities recently and the only other amp/cab I have here is a princeton reverb. When I use the Kemper with the stock 10 inch Jensen in the princeton it sounds great, but not with the greenback. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  • Maybe Greenbacks are just not for you. I'd suggest taking your powered Kemper to a music store and trying it with a variety of speakers for comparison.
