Did something new combined...

  • Hello friends,

a really great combination is an old Zeck 600A amplifier with an

    Bogner 2x12" Closed / Big Size !

    (4 Ohm Zeck => 8 Ohm Bogner)

It really sounds great! ... almost everything

Why did I write that? 8o Ahhja...

What will happen if you can not decide among that many sounds?

You need an editor and more...
    Thread has been around! :cursing:

CK, if you ever have an idea for a small amp that sounds great let me know!

+100000000000000000000000000000000 can I really add any more zero's to
that! The pc/mac editor is a MUST....still cant understand why this
hasnt been addressed yet. 2 friends of mine, who are axe fx users,
nearly joined us as 'Happy Kempers' only to then find out that a simple
editor wasnt there (also they were suprised by no octave fx)....one
compared the idea to going back to the 90's with units like the Roland
GP100. I answered though he was wrong about that - EVEN the Roland GP
100 has a computer based editor!!. Needless to say his response was -
EXACTLY!! 'im not spending over 1200 euros on a machine that lacks that
of a cheap Zoom pedal' Im sure this debate will go on and on.....

Well, if the editor was the only factor your friends decide if their buying the KPA ...no comment...
It's their decision, noone can debate that.
I am not convinced though. It just doesn't stand alone as an argument

When you cannot offer the quality of the KPA profiles or of anything else of the top range, you offer other goodies to make your product appealing to consumers and that goes far back in the consumer industry.

Once again, no editor is announced, but I am pretty sure the Kemper team have got the message but it is just not in their priorities list.

And just to be clear, I am definately up for an editor but I can and have learnt to live without it.
If it comes someday it will be most welcome. But I wouldn't be stopped by that from buying the currently best (to my ears at least) sounding gear. :)

Absolutely agree. A librarian for easier organization (maybe the performance mode) is definitely important, but a PC-based editor just doesn't seem necessary with such an intuitive user interface.

  • I'm going to hazard a guess that CK & Company were caught totally by surprise by the number of user generated profiles. I'm willing to bet that they felt they had more time before the number of profiles became so overwhelming. It would be interesting to know how many (or how few) programmers they have on staff to implement all of the features, etc. we'd like to see. I don't imagine that Kemper is a very large operation....but, I really like what they've done so far.

I think the idea of using the "snapshot" function to reserve profiles that you'd like to keep safe, while purging everything else would be an excellent short-term solution.
