Pro or con pedal?
Both! J/K, definitely the pro pedal camp. I don't want to have to carry another bit of gear around, let alone set it up. Setup simplicity and an all in one solution is one of the reasons why I went with the KPA (used to run G-System with a Mini Amp Gizmo in 4CM plus MIDI into a Mark V...). I'll just stick with the FCB & Uno if the Kemper FC offers less functionality. I don't use a volume pedal (except to access the tuner) but do use wah etc. -
Not sure where the term "pedalboard" is coming from....
"Pedal" comes from the latin word "pedes", which means "foot". Any device you operate through your feet/foot is eligible as a "pedalboard"

I think you mean pes, pedis (gen.), which is Latin for 'foot'.
'Pedes' is plural and would be 'feet' in English.
Sorry for being a smartass. -
Solution: Ship the board with no pedals (I believe they've already said it's going to be this) and include some kind of discount coupon for a company like Mission Engineering.

YES! -
I'm not a kpa owner yet, but it is absolutely in my future. I totally prefer no pedals attached, as I am left footed and all my wah/volume/pitch pedals go to the left of whatever I'm running on the floor. To me this is more convenient.

What about a solution like Rocktron did with their all access ltd. The all access has no pedals, but was supplied with a rocktron hex, and a plate which attaches to the bottom of the all access and the hex effectively making it one piece of gear in your board. Works well for me, although it would be nice if the attachment plate was big enough for two pedals... never happy are we !!
Kemper could supply the plate with the KFC or sell as an add on for those of us who want it.

I'm holding my wallet up to the screen! Where is my KPA FS!

In seriousness, has there been any word of a potential release date? Trying to decide if i should spend on an update for my U4K

This update is never wasted.

I never opened this thread before. I kind of wish I didn't, becuase it makes me draw the following conclusions:
1) it does look like a looper is in the planning, if the mockups for a pedalboard include that. That's awesome
2) here's the part that makes me regret opening the thread: I love my Gordius LG2, and had no intention of changing it...but man, do these mockups turn me on -

Dimensions
About 19 x 42 cm or 7.5 x 16.5 inch for the bigger one.
About 19 x 35 cm or 7.5 x 13,8 inch for the smaller one.Price will not be affected by the dimensions.
With this info I got to go with the big one, And of course the price will just $200 right. I doubt it. =)

Whithin the year
You state "within a year".
I ask, which year? There are many years out there.

I have to correct you. That's not what I wrote
