I really hope christmas will be early this year!
Currently I'm using my Pod XTlive as MIDI floorboard (only send program changes in browser mode), and I use the (tap)+delay, WAH and tuner from the XTLive in my setup.
Does anybody know if there are expression pedals which can be attached to this KFC, with a toe-switch, so it will mimic wah pedals? And can it also double as volume while not on toe switch (so basically like how the XTLive pedal currently works)?

YES!I like that idea a lot! Personally I would rather see a dedicated BOOST button versus the Tuner in the final configuration (which can be accessed by zero-ing a volume pedal of course) - that way a boost would not take up a stomp slot. But I'm sure it's too late for any changes, not that they'd listen to one voice like mine anyway. Just wishful thinking!

It uses both of the expression pedal inputs on the back of the Kemper, not midi though.

Toe-switch is not necessary with the Profiler, you can control the pedal engagement in a number of ways

wouldn't it be better, to have the opportunity, to link a wah- and vol-pedals directly to the KFC. (no long cables from the frontstage to the KPA in the backline) ??

I believe the KFC is planned exactly like that, to have connectors for pedals.
-
Ingolf (or anyone else) - do you know if a 3rd party boost switch such as a Roland FS-1 would work with these connectors on the KFC?
Would one work with say... the FCB1010? I'm guessing some setup change would be necessary, but have no idea what that would be, if possible. Thanks!

I think this is undisclosed ATM. I don't know.

I never opened this thread before. I kind of wish I didn't, becuase it makes me draw the following conclusions:
1) it does look like a looper is in the planning, if the mockups for a pedalboard include that. That's awesome
I don't know... Only a guess, but I'd say that's more likely a typo/ language barrier issue happening, and the in question switch will turn an effects loop on and off. If the KPA had sufficient memory on board for a looper, the effect would already be available for us to use with generic footswitches. And if the KFC were designed with a looper in mind, you'd see labels for stop/start, undo/redo, etc.
But I do hope I'm wrong.
-
...and then there's the fact that we're discussing a drawing, from 2+ years ago, for a product that never materialized... and it's the more ambitious of two vaporware designs... and all rumors have KPA scaling the product down.
You might just want to buy a looper.
-
I tend to agree with you. OTOH, the possibility to use a looper with the KFC only would be a great incentive for sales, wouldn't it

Finally, SOME REAL NEWS:
A user of the German subforum visited the Kemper clinic that is touring Germany ATM.
The KEMPER FOOTCONTROLLER WAS USED in real functional prototype style.
Now it is only distribution and production...
An exact release date was not available from CK who attended the clinic in person.Further details:
- will be made in Germany.
- will be > 400.- Euro.
- will be cheaper than the FAS controller. Please note that I'm only passing on this information that I got from the attendee.
