Blend and tone controls in Loop Distorsion

Would like a blend/mix for certain.

Why add tone control for a loop? The pedals have their own controls

This is just me wondering aloud. Would a blend knob add phase issues? The loop introduces a bit of latency due to the d/a and then a/d conversion in the send return. And then if you have a digital unit/pedal in the loop, the in/outs of that will introduce some latency too. And at least the last part can’t be calculated and adjusted for by the kemper.

I believe the blend knob in those loops is intend for use with FX that have a kill dry path so there is no phase issue to worry about. By definition you can’t have a kill dry distortion effect.
