I want to learn more about bass since I am learning for my own song tracks. What is your preferred bass amp and what special characteristics does it have? I assume not all bass amps are equal.

I used an Ampeg SVT IV and a Ampeg BRE_2 live for years. Warm and lively preamps. I have gotten some good Ampeg profiles off the rig exchange. I just started to tweak some here lately. Trace Elliot sounds nice, but haven't found any good profiles. Bass player in the working years, guitar player in retirement. Love the profiler!

Well I currently use my Kemper with a modified SVT profile I made and play through a Bergantino 3X12 cabinet.
Love Bergantino Forte , SVT classic, Traynor YBA300. The SVT and Traynor are tube amps and offer that little bit of saturation when pushed. The Bergantino excels at cleans.
