My KPP connects no problem.
Your friend should open a support ticket.

Connecting fine for me too so must be doing something wrong or have something on his phone which is stopping it.

I’m not having much luck with this either.
Both Player and App are latest versions from the app store.
Local network connections permitted
Wifi enabled (green)
Connects to Player_xxx SSID
Says it can see the player!!
Can’t connect (iPhone 14 Pro max, or iPad)

Thanks Hell-G
The Rig Manager app does not appear in the main iOS settings or indeed in the Mobile Network page. So I am unable to confirm this setting.
It is on the iOS Local Network Access Page (as above)
This is true on iPad and iPhone.
The fact that it didn’t appear there made me wo der if that was related to the problem: deleted and reinstalled the app - still not appearing in that list.
Tried our other guitarists iPhone: same result.
Specifically the iOS settings are populated as per the attached pic. No Rig Manager entry.

Rig Manager has no settings. That's why it doesn't appear in Settings. Hell-G was asking you to put your phone in airplane mode. Please do so and let us know if that changes anything. Also, can you please uninstall the app (and the corresponding data) and re-install it again? Make sure that you allow the app to access the network when you re-install it.

Thanks G-String,
Yes, as above, had already deleted the app a couple of times and ensured network permissions were allowed.
Hell-G mentioned “Mobile Network settings” which, if available, would be a neater option (could leave my phone functional)
As per the Kemper support ticket and your suggestion here, Airplane mode does appear to provide a workaround, and the app does indeed connect with this on.

That’s fine, but because the app is not populated into the iOS list for settings (either the main list or the Mobile Network) there appears to be NO WAY to switch off the Mobile Network usage in an isolated way for the app alone on either my phone or iPad.
The Airplane mode, as a global setting, confirms that this is the issue - but it really is just a workaround.

It would be interesting to see if switching off the mobile network makes a change for you. You cannot do this in an isolated way. You need to do this for the entire phone. I doubt your setup works in Airplane mode because airplane mode switches off Wi-Fi. And without Wi-fFi, Rig Manager Mobile will not connect.

Latest iOS versions allow WiFi to work whilst Airplane mode is on.
Configured in this way the app connects to the Player.
So Yes!! This seems to be the issue.
To my uninformed self it seems that if the iOS app was populated into the iOS settings, then Mobile Data could be deselected and the problem may well be solved.

Yes, you're right. I didn't know that.

In IOS there is a global setting called wifi assist, which automatically uses cell over wifi when the wifi connection is poor which may have something to do with this and might be worth looking at when troubleshooting. It can be found in settings/cellular.
