Can't get talkbox to work with my kemper need advice

  • okay so with my band I play alot of live gigs with a wireless system.

at the moment I'm using a line6 rack unit...

in my rack I also have a kemper rack unit and some more things that are not interesting for my problem.

for a couple of songs I need a talkbox, so I purchased one...

    I bought the MXR 222.

    now the problem is:

How can I use this thing while still being wireless?

I can make a split from my signal going into my kemper bud then my kemper still sends sound to FOH

So how can I make it possible that when I turn on my talkbox that the kemper output signal stops?

I think you guys are smart enough to come with an solution.

  • You might want to try popping this into the fx loop in the kemper. I've only used the traditional 'between-the-amp-and-cab/tube to mic' heil boxes though. Never one with its own built in amp section. Curious to know what you end up doing and how well it works if you post back your results.

Ignore that, just read up on it and it appears to work the same way as the heil, but just pre amp instead of post and since it still cuts off the output to the kemper a loop wont work. Think I'm going to have to get this.

  • Connect the wireless receiver by cable to the talkbox input, the talkbox output to the Kemper. You'll need cables, but your guitar will be wireless
