It would also defeat the purpose. Of you lock those buttons….how would you change to the next performance?
You already know this I'm sure, but practicing your footwork is just as important as practicing on the fretboard.

nice idea! might be a little harder to get off or risk scratching your metalwork doing so.
I think the best tip was what you suggested earlier, BayouTexan , practice your footwork (and dont wear stilettos 
not recommended for glam-rock tribute acts)
If you've got enough space in the memory duplicate your performance in the two adjacent slots.
Stand farther back from your Stage. Limits how far you can reach with your leg comfortably.
You could set Performance Load to "Pending". In that case the next Performance doesn't get loaded, just preselected. So you sound doesn't change, when you hit the button accidentally. When you then don't hit one of the Rig Buttons, which would really trigger the load, but one of the other buttons, the display will just return to the current Performance.
