DOLICA GS-350 large camera bag. Internal dimensions: 20"X9"X11", which should have no issue fitting the Kemper's 14 3/4" x 6.5" x 8.5". Plus, it has the foam inserts like many camera bags do to separate the compartments allowing storage of some other gig necessities, lots of extra outer pockets too. Best of all, can be had from $60 to $70 USD. Unless I find something I like better, going to pull the trigger tomorrow.

Will, be aware that those hard case dimensions indicate the dimensions with all foam removed. That was the problem I ran into when I ordered a hard Platt case. While I still feel like the Namba bag is overpriced, the nice thing about it is the panels seem to be made of stiff plastic surrounded by softer padding. A couple of weeks ago a cabbie tried to help me lift my gear out of the trunk, and my entire handtruck of stuff hit the pavement. At that moment I was very glad to have the Namba bag.

Yeah, the 7.5 would be a close shave with foam. I'm more interested the soft bag anyway. Probably big enough to carry a small stand, my backup, and all my cables in addition to the KPA.

i have that pelican case for some of my camera gear, love it, and of course i tried to make it a kpa touring solution. while you can fit the kpa in there somehow, there really isnt much space left for padding, leave alone footswitches, etc. if you want ultimate protection, these are a great choice, but i'd want a larger one, which then is rather heavy again... i went for the namba bag, which of course is not cheap for what you get, but it works well. i REALLY hope, once the floor-controller comes out, they'll provide another bag solution where you can fit kpa, controller, expr. pedal in some pre-defined spaces...

Ape Case ACPRO160. Internal dimensions 17"WX7"DX11"H, slightly more compact than the Dolica and look to run from ~$76 USD and up.

I love the bags/cases by PortaBrace and own some for my cameras and other gear.
Lots of "external" space for cables, stomp boxes, mobile recorders, you name it.
My KPA still is not supposed to travel, so I didn't buy one yet. But I'm sure you'll find something.

Pulled the trigger on the DOLICA GS-350. Just seems perfect on paper. Big enough to carry the KPA plus all gig necessities plus I can pull out the padded insert and use it as a standard travel bag when needed. It will be here this week.

The DOLICA GS-350 came in today, and its a perfect fit. I actually had hoped I would have a little extra room, but it has nice sized pockets on the front and sides. All pockets including the main compartment have double flaps, a very nice touch and a little extra comfort if you have to make a short run in the rain. Padding is about what you'll find in a gig bag so you cant throw it around but more than good enough to protect from any bumps loading in and out of places. Very pleased with the purchase as it was quite the bargain compared to the branded bag. I'll take a couple pics of the bag loaded up before rehearsal this weekend.

Looks bigger in the pictures than reality. The Kemper is a snug fit in the bag though the bag perhaps is a bit taller.

Good to hear it was successful! I am looking forward to the pictures, I am looking to get a case myself and this looks like a great solution.

OK, almost forgot but got one quick pic. Like I said, fits very snug. You can see I have my Line 6 M5 and Digitech Whammy V stuffed into the front pocket. I couldn't quite get the zipper closed over the Whammy but the top flap covered it all up without issue. Power supplies for the pedals went in one side pocket and KPA power in the zipper pocket of the hood. Not it the pic, but I attached my guitar stand and a music stand using the exterior tripod straps on the front as well. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Well, don't worry - there is some foam underneath the KPA, I don't lay it flat on the poti knobs. I have cut holes into the foam so that the knobs fit in and the weight does not lie directly on them. I bought plastozote foam, that's the stuff that flightcase builders use. Tomorrow I will cut some other foam pieces so that it will wrap the Kemp nicely from all sides. Cheaper than the original flightcase - and compliant to all the cabin luggage rules of the airlines (which the original case is not!).
