I'm looking to build my own. I've got the momentary switches set up - the question is how to wire the jack.
One port (tip, ring or sleeve) should be wired to both switches, as far as i can tell. Anyone know which is it?
Thanks!

Yep! I did as well, following the diagram from grorig, and they work perfectly.

Guitarnet70 - that's awesome - may I ask where you got the nice enclosures (and footswitches) from? Im looking to buy some.
Thanks for the help!
Grorig gave me the address of a German Webshop, I must search for it. Is in a thread here in the Forum, was end if November/beginning of December IIRC...
Edit: got it! I've bought the ones from BanzaiMusic
Display MoreYou need
two SPDT momentary (better for the case) switches:

or if you want better switches:

one TRS input jack:

an enclosure like this or similar:

and you connect as the diagram below

Thanks guys, works like a charm.
Now we just need the performance mode working...
I build my switch like your schematic, with dpdt switches, but it doesn't seem to work. Is it dpdt or spst or spdt?
sorry. I'm a noob at electronics (and most other stuff too)

DPST switches will work if they are Momentary Swirches. If they are latching switches, they will not work without multiple presses.
The simplest way to wire it is using SPST momentary switches.
Ah. I used dpdt momentary non latching (no click sort off, right?)
spst momentary is better? No double clicks?
Yes, SPST momentary is perfect. No doubleclicks.
Allright! Thanks!
but for my information and learning; why does the one i ordered not work?
Please post a link to the schematic for that switch, so we can see how it works.
I used the schematic that grorig posted (with dpdt switches)
Please post the Data Sheet for the DPDT switch, that describes the internal connections in the DPDT.
Sorry. I'm a noob. I didn't get one. It just came without a data sheet? And the site doesn't offer one as well :-S

Try the manufacturer's website.
I need to add a momentary switch to my Mission Engineering EP-11 (bought for my Eleven Rack now using with my Kemper) expression pedal for "toe down" to turn off/on wah in one of the stomp locations A through D. I am going to order a SPST Momentary Switch and was wondering does it matter if the switch "has click when depressed" or "Soft touch switch (no click)" ?
If you want to feel the click, you would probably prefer the switch that clicks.
I prefer not to use any switch - I have my wah set to "bypass at off"
Thanks for the help paults.
Regadring, "I have my wah set to "bypass at off"
I like that option but unfortunately the bolt that tightens the treadle does not work that great and it won't always stay in the heel position on it's own. I won't buy another Mission Engineering pedal based on this issue alone.
There is also "Bypass at Toe", if the pedal is stable enough at that position.
