Downgrading to 1.6.1 .....
Why???
why?
like it so far, switching time is far better than before
(but i had two or 3 clicks like with earlier versions when using the spdif...have to see if that is a problem with firmware or just some random whatever)
Unlike others I like the space parameter very much.
For my taste it could have even a bit more 'room'.
Let's not only get it to 11, but 20 instead of 10.
It reminds me a bit of the Vetta II that had a similar feature and it gives a kind of interesting phasing/ambience that I find very appealing and not only useful in headphones (I rarely use them) but also for recording.
Other than that I sense that the dev team is going at a higher pace now ...
I will wait for the next version this time. One of the things I got used to and I loved about the KPA is that apparently I could store as many rigs as I wanted so pretty much I was using it like a library of amps that I could carry with me anywhere without the need for a computer or external storage device. Too bad this will not be the case anymore.
I really like the 'SPACE' option . More real feel playing wise especially through headphones
Can't wait to try the new space stuff tonight.

I feel it as well....

What in the world makes you guys say that???
Downgrading to 1.6.1
Why???
When I first played all was fine - until I started to tune another guitar - that guitar is tuned to D (two steps down) - I used the 1.7PB tuner and all sounds like sh..
I compared with two other tuners and it was off - when tuned with the 'real' tuners all was fine.
Switched back to 1.6.1 and all is fine.
I did not do a lot of tests and will not do it - but I installed 1.6.1 and 1.7PB two times and compared both with my guitar and a tone generator.
G=196Hz was fine with 1.6.1 and also my real tuners - flat with 1.7PB
(1.7PB was set to default 440Hz - I did not change anything)

Did you open a ticket?

As far as I can say sounds 1.7PB the same as 1.6.1 - only the tuner seam to be off.

Well, I still think 1000 rigs is PLENTY!
I recommend you tidy up a bit.
You can still have all the not so immediately needed profiles on your PC, should you ever need them.
It would be a pity if you miss out on the good things to come...
As far as I'm concerned the KPA is the best thing ever for a guitar player. Even if there was no updates whatsoever I'd be totally happy with the sounds I'm getting. The fact that I know there are further good things to come just makes it even better. For now I'm happy to look at it like I have a bunch of great amps at my disposal. But I understand the guys who want all the bells and whistles right now..

Yes, That's what I plan to do while I wait for the next release. No other choice I guess. I don't want to miss the pitch shifter you are currently testing for 1.8 beta.

Thanks for the update Kemper team. Looking forward to future updates.
To me, the KPA as it is right now, is more than worth the price I paid for it. It is much more valuable than if I had spent 2K on a single tube amplifier (Mesa, ENGL, Diezel), plus I have all of those tones and so much more. Future updates are just going to be an excellent bonus.
And believe it or not, gigs are going perfectly despite not having performance mode!
