Mine, with settings from Andy's video and a Les Paul, sounds like this:

Did you use the midboost and/or gainboost here? Andy's clip has a lot more gain when he hits the OD channel.

Tried them all.
But that didn't quite work for me and the Tele.

Hi,
Just had my Tele out for some playing and found that TAF's Two Rock Schofield Sig amp gave me an almost spot on Robben Ford Tele OD.
YMMV but for me, this is fun.

Hi Mats,
What settings and speaker do you like with the Fuchs ODS?
As I don't own one and have always tried them with different guitars, I don't remember any great settings in detail. But if you want a reference there are some nice tones I like in Andy's demo here:

I thought I was being clever and looked for 'Ethos' in the Rig Exchange...
and guess who made it...
Hi Don!
Yeah, that was one of my first profiles. The Ethos into my Traynor YCV-40. While I still think it's a usable profile it's nothing near what I'm looking for in a Fuchs ODS.

Mats N
Thanks for all the suggestions and profiles.
I think I have auditioned them but will do so again just to make sure I haven't missed anything.
There just seem to be something elusive about the Fuchs amps that makes it hard to capture the detailed attack and the fullness and warmth of the body.

Hi,
I'm a self confessed junkie for the D-style sounds of Larry Carlton and Robben Ford.
Therefore I'd be very interested to learn what profiles you use when you want to play stuff like that?
Thanks!

Hi,
I recorded this as a sort of a challenge to myself. I wanted to see if I could write and record a tune that used no chorus, no delay and no reverb. This funky tune was the result. I did feel I had to put just a little ambience on the drums and the lead guitar. The rest of the tracks were recorded bone dry and nothing was added to the mix.
All clean guitars were recorded using the KPA but with the Stack turned off. The lead guitar is a Marshall 1987 from The Amp Factory.
Hope you enjoy it!
In case you want to have a go at the track you can, as always, find the backing track in the Music section at my web site http://www.nermark.com.

Hi,
This old Boss pedal is so nice and would be an excellent addition to the KPA.

Hi,
Happy New Year to all!
I thought I would kick it off with a new tune and BT for your collective enjoyment.
I have posted a few smoother and more melodic tunes lately so this time I felt like doing something a bit harder and more angular.
Guitar was recorded using an Evil Robot Profile from Andy at The Amp Factory.
Hope you enjoy it!

Hi,
This may have been posted before so if that's the case I apologize!
Sometimes I find the bridge single coil pickup on a strat to be a bit weak and anemic for lead sounds. Clean and distorted!
Put the Lead booster in front of the amp profile, set the volume somewhere between o and 1 and the use the tone control in the Lead Booster to find the spot that fits your guitar the best. I find this not only varies from guitar to guitar but also from profile to profile.
I use this quite a lot.

Mats N
Hi Mats,
I hope you don't mind. I am using public profiles for testing. Upon release only shared profiles by users will be available.
Let me know if you wish me to remove your profiles from the screenshots.
No worries mate! Glad to bee seen and heard.
Cheers,

Hi Gianfranco,
I agree with Ingolf on the Fuchs profile. Look thought the factory rigs.
So to Vinai's sounds. I love that kind of clean sound and use a number of different profiles to get that depending on the song and what nuances I want to get.
MN Black Goop 35 Jazz1 and Jazz2. Those are my own profiles and are available for free at my site http://www.nermark.com/KPA_profiles.htm
AF3 Twinolux. From The Amp Factory.
AF6 Dr.Z Jazz. Also from TAF.
TS-1 Clean by Reznor. You can find this at the Rig Exchange.
I'm working on a new profile for this sound so maybe I'll get back to you.
So to the 2nd sound wich is slightly overdriven.
Here I think you can do some edits either to the following profiles to make it close:
TS-1 Crunch EV12 by Reznor. Available at the RE.
One of the factory Fuchs profiles.
My original MN Black Goop Lead profile at the RE.
One of the free Red Plate profiles at TAF.
Hope this helps!

Mats N
Hey!
I see my name in many places in that screen dump. Very cool!
Very much looking forward to this.

Hi,
I was going to record a new tune using a nylon string guitar. WHatever I did I couldn't get it to sound like I wanted. So when I saw my KPA I thought, "hmmm, the compressor in the KPA is wonderful and the EQ is great so why not disable the Stack section and use it as an audio processor?" Why not, indeed, so I did and it worked nicely.
Here's the tune if you want to take a listen:

Well, I did ask and the answer was that he might. There are some things happening in the KPA universe.

Does said-guy want to share?
Very fun track, just screams cop show.. but then with that title... lol! The playing is top notch very tight work.

Thanks Per!
The title is always a problem. This one came from me using two Tylers to track this tune. A Burning Water and the other a Classic with Bacon. So one word from each!
