Wah Wah is the name of an Effect Type, which comes up, if you turn the Type Knob while an Effect Module is open. That name is hard-coded in the software. it loads the Effect Type while all parameters are maintained. No Preset involved.

If you want to search Effect Presets you need to turn the Browse Knob while an Effect Module is open. Hopefully you remember its given name and can find it in the list of Effect Presets. The Preset loads the Effect Type AND all its parameter settings.

Monitor Cab Off is included in Output Presets

Power Amp on/off is not as Output Presets are universal and not every Profiler has a power amp. On the other hand you can leave the power amp on anyhow. It doesn't require a load and it's power consumption is low, while it is idle.

Assignments of Stomps and Effects Section could also compete with each other on the same Effect Button(s) of another Rig. I guess, it makes also no sense to make Presets of Modules and Sections behave differently in this respect. Wouldn't be intuitive. The consequences of loading such a Preset with assignments are hidden in the way, that you cannot know in advance, what will happen - the Preset name as such in the list of Presets doesn't tell you anything about their assignments - and then after loading the Preset it's hard to compare and figure out the impact it had on the Rig's assignments. If you load a Section Preset it could affect all four Effect Buttons at once. After the fact you only see the new scenario.

If you want to use the same Stomps or Effects with their assignments all the time you could lock these Sections. At least temporarily while you create new Rigs. Locking does include Effect Button assignments as long as the Effect Buttons have only single assignments. If Effect Buttons have multiple assignments these could mix locked and unlocked Modules/Sections, which is another rathole. That's why Effect Buttons with multiple assignments are withdrawn during locking. Or you could selectively browse and just browse the Stack, Amp or Cab, which will maintain Stomps and Effects including all their assignments..

User friendliness is sometimes a question of keeping things simple.

Let's assume you create a Preset of a Distortion in Module A and that would hypothetically include an assignment of Effect Button III. Now you move to another Rig and load this Preset into Module C. In this Rig the Effect Button III is already assigned to Delay and Reverb. What should now happen?

Should the assignment of Delay and Reverb be overwritten? But this might come as a surprise. What, if you don't want that?

Should the assignment of the Distortion be added beside Delay and Reverb? So, Effect Button III would now switch Delay, Reverb ... and Distortion, but you just see Delay and Reverb, as the third assignment is "hidden". Another potential surprise. What if the Effect Button III had already four assignments? Should the first or the fourth be overwritten now? Or should the new assignment we waved?

If you would load such a Preset, it would be practically unpredictable, what happens. I think, this is a rathole. That's why the assignments are not included in the Presets.

The Aux In signal is fed into the outputs post the Looper (even if Looper Location Post is selected). Most users wouldn't want their play along music nor their band's monitor mix included in their loop track.

Instead of Aux In you could try to use an effect loop e. g. Loop Mono or Loop Stereo e. g. in Module X. Your drumpad would still be connected to the Profiler Return (mono) or Return plus Alternative In. You would control the mix via the effect loop's Mix parameter. Disadvantage: Your drumpad runs through MOD, DLY, and REV Module. You could place the effect loop in the DLY Module. In that case the drumpad runs only through the REV module. This is a workaround, not more.

In order to loop in effects of the Digitech 1101, you would need to connect:
its input the the Profiler Send
    and
it's output (mono) to the Profiler Return
    or
its outputs (stereo) to the Profiler Return and Alternative In.
Then you need to configure a Loop Mono, Loop Distortion or Loop Stereo anywhere in the signal chain of the Profiler e. g. Loop Mono in Module B or Loop Stereo in Module X. This setup of the Loop Mono, Loop Distortion or Loop Stereo could vary by Rig. So, you could use Digitech 1101 distortion effects in Rig A pre Stack, and delay effects in Rig B post Stack, and no loop at all in Rig C.

For MIDI you need to connect the MIDI Thru of the Digitech 1101 with the MIDI In of the Profiler and enable MIDI Send in the Digitech. According to its manual the Digitech can only send MIDI program changes, which allows you to load 128 Profiler Rigs in Browser Mode and the first 128 Slots in Performance Mode. You cannot switch Profiler effects on/off nor control any pedal controllers via the Digitech.

To be honest - I think, this is a lot of effort and complexity to build a crutch. Connecting a Remote to the Profiler or even a MIDI foot controller like an Uno4Kemper is much easier, offers much more remote control functionality, and has much less potential for failures..

Sorry, you are confusing things. If your expression pedal is configured as Wah Pedal and any Wah effect is activated e. g. WahPedal Booster, the expression pedal will control that effect regardless if "WahPedal >Volume" is activated or not. "WahPedal >Volume" only takes effect and makes a difference, while no Wah effect is active.

The Reference Manual explains all this in great detail AND there are video tutorials dedicated to this subject. So I guess, there is no reason to speculate and get confused.

added: With the option Monitor Stereo the Monitor Out and Direct Out become one logical stereo monitor output.

guys...am I wrong understanding that from this FW we can use the monitor in stereo using both monitor and direct out?

Yep! And all settings related to the Monitor Output (Monitor Cab. Off, Monitor Volume, Monitor EQ, Aux> Monitor out,.. will automatically affect both).

We have just released a new Public Beta with the following new features and fixes:

    Audio

added: S/PDIF Clock can be selected: 44.1/48/88.2/96 kHz
added: With the option Monitor Stereo the Monitor Out and Direct Out become one logical stereo monitor output. Functions like Output Source, Monitor Volume, Monitor Output Link, Monitor Output Equalizer, Monitor Cab. Off, and Aux In >Mon are then applied to both.
added: the option Aux >Mono merges the Aux In signal from Return and Alternative In.

    User Interface

added: Transpose in the Rig Settings
added: Rig Volume now also reflected on page Details in the Rig Settings
added: UI to MIDI allows to transmit all sound relevant parameters of the Profiler user interface via MIDI to for example establish a MIDI daisy chain of multiple Profilers
    fixed: Strobo Tuner percentage inaccuracy
fixed: release of Mute Signal if methods to activate Tuner Mode are crossed
fixed: parameter anomalies when storing Presets in Module D
changed: parameter Swell now named Input Swell
changed: parameter Hold renamed into Freeze and Action & Hold functions renamed into Action & Freeze
changed: Output Source Delay/Reverb wet renamed to DLY/REV wet
