there are a couple of rigs in the rig exchange that were made with a speakersim.
also, the character control in the cab section can be used to turn a regular cab into a more speakersim-like sounding version.

... or anything in between dB's...
Thanks for the tip.
right-o.
this is however the way I usually figure out the right amount of boost or cut.
I start with xdBs of let's say boost, if that's too much I dial it back by 1/2xdBs. If that's not enough I add 1/4xdBs and so on.
This let's you quickly zero in on the needed value.
works for me
I personally love the Green Scream and how it tightens the low end, but for those of you who are looking for more bass response from this stomp:
- add a Studio EQ after the Green Scream
- set the Low Freq to 32.7Hz
- apply a generous amount of boost, 12dBs of boost pretty much recover all of the bass
- if that's too much for you try 6dBs of boost
- still too much? -> 3dBs - OR - not enough? -> 9dBs
probably great to get a Seasick Steve tone
if you make more profiles, please include at least one with the Pignose 'opened' just a bit (there is a - somewhat sweet - spot)
yes, formerly named 01000100
have you searched for 'Gilmour' and/or 'Hiwatt' in the rig exchange?
Honestly, guys. I experimented quite a bit. Not ruling out user error maybe my input levels or messed up, but could someone just give me a simple yes or no to whether they are experiencing the same. Load up a clean profile, load up the TS. Is it gainy at default settings, like a real TS just about maxed out? Lower the gain down, even almost all the way off. A real TS would not really impart any breakup at this point unless the volume is dimed and forcing the amp input to overdrive. Still getting significant dirt?
like already mentioned, the lowest possible amount of clipping depends on a lot of things: the 'family' (TS9 or 808) the series (TS9, 10, 7, 5, 'clones' etc.), the opamp used, the value/tolerance of the drive pot and the resistor next to the it...
basically every TS-like pedal sounds and behaves a little bit different.
With the gain low, lower the volume. Does it clean up or does the distorted sound just get quieter? Thanks fella!
I just played the Vab Clean profile with a Green Scream in front, set like this:
Drive 0
Tone -2,5
Volume 0
and I found the result to be very pleasing and what I would expect from a good Screamer in 'boost mode' in front of a good tube amp.
seems like they were deleted somehow,
you can restore all Effect presets by going to System -> Page 1 -> and press the button Factory Rigs.
This will also install all of our Rigs (but you should have those anyway ).
where did you have the volume parameter?
maybe you were hitting the following profile too hard. not sure if the Green Scream's output is a 1:1 representation of what the TS circuit is able to deliver, or if CK chose to give the user a higher maximum level boost, which could result in the rig sounding gainy-er than expected.
i updated the firmware, but nothing. the amplifier button dont work.
please contact support.
just to clarify:
if you press and hold the button for Stomp A, and then turn the 'Browse' knob, you only get chorus type local presets?
and a few more, but that this idea was disliked, so i stopped uploading all the other vintage gear i own
sorry for thread jacking, but gbs didn't enable private messages.
gbs,
just wanted to let you know, I quite fond of the profiles you took from your pedals so far.
To me, they are a very valid addition to amp or drive + amp profiles. They can really fill out multitracked guitar parts or stand out and add a different flavour to the whole mix.
Sorry if you felt like your profiles weren't appreciated - I certainly do like and use them.
And I'd love to see more!
Don
personally, I'd always profile in the 'sweet spot setting' instead of the somewhat arbitrary 'noon setting', which doesn't mean anything, really.
DigitalTube (great name, btw.)
can you please contact me via pm?
send me the profiles that are giving you trouble, I'll record some stuff here.
This way we can take your recording setup/environment out of the equation.
thanks.
like Olli said, there's a lot of noise between the the notes.
are you sitting in front of a CRT monitor?
if yes, switch it of and see if the noise issue goes away.
Damn, I think I posted this in the wrong section. Please feel free to move it Admin....my bad!
no problem, moved.

yes.
all of the the Wah stomps (Wah Wah, Lowpass, Highpass, Vowel, Flanger, Phase, Rate Reducer, Ringmod and Frequency Shifter) can be set to 'Touch' mode. Now the amplitude of the guitar signal controls the main effect. The range of that effect can be adjusted between -100% and +100%, often there's a seconde range parameter (Resonance for exsample).
The 'Touch Attack' and 'Release' can also be adjusted.
Auto FIlter/Wah heaven!
