Hi all,
I just finished setting up a page on one of my web sites on programming the FCB1010 for use with the Kemper
http://el34world.com/Misc/Music/FCB_Kemper1.htmNote that this tutorial page is only for FCB1010's that have the UNO chip installed
The UNO chip lets the FCB1010 have 5 stomp box pedals and 5 preset selection pedalsIt also is only for the Kemper browser mode
I have not experimented with the FCB1010 and the Kemper Performance mode yetI have links on the tutorial page to the Ripwerx FCB1010 editor I am using for the tutorial
There is also a .syx file you can download to play withNote that my tutorial page has nothing to do with the UNO4 Kemper chip
The UNO4 Kemper chip is not programmable with computer based editing softwareThere are a bunch of handy links on my page
I go through all the steps it takes to program the FCB1010 Stomp box pedals to control the Kemper effects
I also show how to edit the FCB1010 preset pedals so you can have each one turn on and off different Kemper effects and have different expression pedals for each kemper profileI have a demo on the page showing how you can turn on and off two Kemper effects with just one FCB1010 stomp box pedal
If you see any errors, let me know. I always miss stuff when I proof read pages
I would be glad to include any other content that may be useful to Kemper and FCB1010 users
Here's the page link again
http://el34world.com/Misc/Music/FCB_Kemper1.htmThanks and enjoy
Hope my tutorial page is useful -

Future RigManager versions will be able to manage performances.
There was a prototype shown at NAMM.Any more news/info on the RM version shown at NAMM?

I don't run the power amp all the way up
The object is to have lots of clean overhead and let the Kemper create the distortion, not the power amp
-
Running mine through a 500 watt per channel stereo power amp
Into two big Pioneer 6 way speakers with 18 inch woofers
Controlling the Kemper with a FCB1010
Sounds awesome. -
Yeah, I like the detailed explanations on the input, output and amp controls
Hope they do some more vids on some of the other controls
-
Excellent.
Thanks for the heads up on the videos -

This is my 4th day with the KPA and I am loving it so far
Just now getting around to setting up a couple FCB1010 controllers to change presets and use in performance mode
I can't say I am too thrilled using the KPA to do all these edits.
I was just wishing as I was doing this that I could use a spread sheet like format to do all the editing and then upload to the KPASomething along the lines of my FCB1010 editor shown in the attached screen shot
Just wishing is all
Hope something better is coming for editing all these midi mappings -

I can believe that
Guitar rig was only "convenient" for me

Got cha

Maybe so, I have a big stack of hand wired tube amps here, a little but of everything
The problem has always been recording real rigs in the non studio space I haveI have been recording with guitar rig many years because it's way easier than setting up mics trying to get a good sound, etc
Guitar rig is a compromise but I have learned to live with itI have a bunch of recorded stuff on my web site here.

Thanks for that info
Programming the FCB uno chip is pretty easy with the two pieces of software I use
One is a windows program and one is Java based so it works on any platform
This page on my web site has a link to the Ed Dixon FCB1010 editor
http://el34world.com/Misc/Music/FCB_2.htmIt's pretty easy to quickly load up different .syx files into the FCB using those pieces of software
I have a page on my web site here with more info on the FCB1010 in case anyone is onterested
http://el34world.com/Misc/Music/SoundPage1.htmMy KPA should be here this week
I guess I'll get my hands dirty then -
Got this email back from Xavier (Ossandust)
Not sure what to make of it
He says they are two different products but the old UNO chip I have will be able to control the KPA
I guess I will have to wait for my KPA to arrive and test my FCB1010 with the old UNO chipQuoteUnO and UnO4Kemper are just 2 completely different products-
have a look at the manuals of both to compare them
You don't need to buy a new chip to control the Kemper
regards,
Xavier -
